Really interesting. I've always been interested in geodes. Our guide, who took us through the museum and out to the stone quarry was awesome and friendly. Not a bad second career after retirement. One thing which could be better, is the video. There is no clear storyline which makes it harder to follow than needed. I strongly recommend having it updated. Fantastic place to bring kids and have them appreciate geology and nature. Museum itself is a small wonder for its assortment of earth and geodes. But the real fun is the hike up a ravine and smashing with the proper equipment and finding various yourself. You will have a hard time getting your kids to leave. It's a fream come true for them, being free to smash and the wonder of surprise when they find glistering inside that they can keep. Bring proper clothing and mountain hiking shoes. Be prepared to get wet and dirty. Not suited for the mobility impaired. Schöne Ausstellung und tolle Führung und das suchen nach den Kristallen war auch super Bellissima raccolta di Geode del territorio, curata e ben illustrata. Complimenti Not in English but generally kinda cool Bel museo un po piccolo ma molto interessante per i bambini prenotando visita con un esperto che porta i bambini in una cava a cercare minerali Sehr schönes Anschauliches Museum mit familärer Führung Interessantissimo, suggerisco di guardare il video prima di entrare in modo da avere maggiore consapevolezza. Ingresso gratuito se muniti di Dolomiti Card Top Staff are brilliant, unfortunately the film is only in German or Italian, but hey that’s ok the visuals well make up for not understanding ever word, amazing display of crystals etc great shop, my wife open her very own geode. Ein kleines sehr informativ und interessantes Museum über Mineralien. Eine absolute Empfehlung!! If you like and geodes, this is worth a visit. Our kids enjoyed seeing the various crystal shapes. Shame there is no English displays. The experience is quite fun. There is an informational video at the start, before the takes you through the impressive collection of all the geodes. They then take you to a certain reserved slope on the mountainside, with a lot of loose rocks. You are then given a hammer and chisel, and are allowed to break the rocks, and even keep the ones you want. Good experience overall, but the buildup takes a bit long. The museum is nice. It's small but there are some very pretty to be seen. Not something for a while day. The query visit was not so great. I went there as a kid, but not I think the query is basically empty. The was very nice and informative though! Also no English option for the introduction movie. Great place! Very interesting exposition and kind staff. Not that big but still worth the visit if you are passionate about minerals. Sehr interessant und informativ Molto bello, ho visto minerali mai visti in altri musei. Esposti in modo eccellente in particolare una piccola vetrinetta illuminata. Anche il video molto esplicativo e storico nella ricerca dei minerali. Vi è poi la parte per i bambini molto educativa. Complimenti davvero! Petit musée sur les pierres Incredibilmente interessante! Small, yet Interesting exhibition with a rich amount of and gemstones. Very interesting and a lot of to see. Movie is very interesting too A very nice visit, the staff was very accommodating and made sure we were included on the tour which is offered in German or Italian (we are English speaking). This didn't detract too much from the experience, and we were advised ahead of time about the language of the tour. The kids had a great time with the quarry visit, getting to smash and look for cool rocks. If this was a fishing trip, the made sure everyone caught a few fish. The collection is the lifetime work of Paul and other collectors. Before the tour we spent a little time walking up to the restored WWI trenches above the town with an excellent view over the valleys. A real gem of a place in South Tyrol! Small but beautifully presented museum with some stunning specimens from the valley, region and beyond. Paul's collection is rather remarkable! Wonderful way to spend an afternoon taking the excursion with the guide. The staff are friendly and kind even if you are an English speaker. Since I arrived by bus the took me to the geode hunting location in his car, and then dropped me off at the bus stop afterwards. He also stayed with me in the rain with his umbrella until the bus arrived. Despite him not speaking English and I very little German, he still engaged me in friendly and pleasant conversation while we waited. The kindness and patience shown was much appreciated!! Many thanks for a lovely day!
