Need to park by the cable car station (5min walk) Although not as popular as the Furnes-Seceda lift, a ride to Resciesa plateau then to the Resciesa refuge is funny and relaxing. The funicular is a small one but offer a panorama of the surrounding during the 7-8 minutes ride. At the top, there's a restaurant and a 30-minute walkway to the Resciesa hut. A fun ride up the cable train. Good of Ortisei on the way. Easy walks at the top. Incredible in all directions. We hiked down later in the day, which was a good way to get an alternate perspective without the hard climb Wonderful day, great over Sassolungo! Such a great sledging track, amazing to get a pass and do the sled track repeatedly! Sled rent costs around Euros 7 for one day! Highly recomended! Worth the trip to the top for the views. Nice and efficient. Visibility was poor and snowing when i went up on 31/5/2024. Hiking the circuit loop takes about 2 to 3 hour. We had a very nice day in this place. We payed 39 euros with the sledge included. We played the whole afternoon. The tickets includes the full day of uphill and downhill with the funicular. Who has the Ski Pass pays 10 euro to get the sledge. The Seilbahn is a great experience, as it is the only funicular in the vicinity, making for a truly unique experience. The view on the way up and down is great as you can see the entire valley and beyond. Cosy place above Ortisei. From the upper station you can go hiking to the top which is close and have a great view, you can connect with the Seceda ski area via piste or you can go straight down with a sled you can take from the hut. Great experience. It’s new and they’re still working out the kinks. 1st time we tried to go it was broken, second time the doors wouldn’t open automatically. Had to help the conductor use a key to manually open them a-couple times. Not a big deal, perhaps part of the charm. Beautiful views, sledging was the highlight of our trip (wear helmets) and the view from the top of the Sassolungo is unmatched. Restaurant was excellent. Would recommend.
