A great spot for cat lovers! There are plenty of wandering around, and they’re happy to be petted. Admission is free, but there’s a box next to the entrance for those who wish to contribute. We visited the cat sanctuary after the monestary. Although we arrived a bit after closing time (only open in the mornings), they let us come in a pet as many of the hundreds of as we could. You can food to donate or give cash donations. A wonderful place for cat lovers and those considering adopting one of the kitties! This place needs everyone's support more than ever! Every cat lovers dream, with them now hosting over 900 cats! It is free to enter the sanctuary, which I believe is open every day from 9am-1pm. The park also accepts any donations, whether that be monetary, litter, food or a sponsorship for a year which is €60. Some of the are poorly with cat flu or some look a little more bedraggled than the others, but it is an amazing thing they are doing there to support the local cat population! My grandson loved it here, made so many cat friends that we had to come back again on our last day. I sat for hours in total bliss with all these beautiful and kittens. Always a pleasure to here. Cats are very well looked after with adoption available and sponsors for those who wish to seek regular correspondence on a cat of their choice and even possible to name one if not already named for a small fee. There are several volunteers who work very hard to maintain the property and keep the healthy, spayed and contented with a range of toys houses and play areas. It is heartbreaking to see how people abuse these but really great to see that those at the cat park love and care for them. A separate area for kittens and main houses for the with lots of separate areas for the to rest and sleep are really great for the to come and go. Great for the family and especially children. We everytime and at least two big bags of food and a donation. Cat dreamies are always a favourite of certain and you can always find that several will follow you around the whole compound if you some. Wet food is especially a welcome donation. A great morning out with informative staff, a must for cat lovers. Every cat lover’s dream 🐾 — a place where you can play with them, cuddle them, and see how well they’re cared for. The team is doing an amazing job, but supporting so many takes a lot of resources. Most of the are healthy, happy, and incredibly cuddly. Some have cat flu, and one sweet soul who didn’t leave my side had just been neutered, but sadly his wound opened 😢. For us, a small may be nothing, but for these cats, it means everything. Please consider supporting them so they can continue their wonderful work. ❤️ All feel well taken care of. Some are "dirty" (mostly flu), some are not. Some instantly want to cuddle and get onto your knees, others don't. Hand sanitizers are provided so you can enter and leave the facility clean. If you plan to spend half an hour on a quick here, change your plans. You will stay for 2h at least :) This was simply one of the most beautiful, happiest, cutest experiences I have ever done - everyone must go, I couldn’t recommend it any higher!! Being surrounded by the sweetest little (and large) makes for such a wonderful day and I already want to go back! The kind volunteers giving up their time are inspirational and any donations in any form are much needed. I can’t wait to go back it’s a completely magical little sanctuary. So the Monastery next door donated a bit of land to this AMAZING CHARITY Tala to look after the local (Cyprus has A LOT of stray cats). The CatPark is basically every cat lovers dream. Make sure you some cat food with you to give them (cat food is really expensive over here so anything you can will be appreciated). In return the will give you more attention than is reasonable… they were literally jumping over us, on us, between us… All the are well looked after and you can tell the volunteers work tirelessly to look after all the cats. Note - there is no toilet, but there are at the monastery car park 30 seconds away. If you like or even love Cats, the Cat Rescue and Park is worth visiting. The care the volunteers have for the is fantastic. The are and love attention. Kids and adults love the experience. It takes volunteer dedication and donations from visitors to keep the safe and healthy. It's free to visit, but a is welcomed, or even adopt and sponsor a Cat. Without visitor and support the CatPark would not exist. Have a Purrfect visit! Absolutely amazing cat sanctuary. You can tell the are well cared for and looked after. We list track of time and spent 1 an half hours there, most of the were and loved a good cuddle, somw were slightly more timid. The volunteers were a great bunch, definitely worth a if your in the area 😀 thank you for having us. I remember seeing ads for cat cafés and every time I've been I have been disappointed. Not so here. The are very well fed and well looked after so there's no need for them to pester you for treats. Instead, they climb on you for pets and attention. I love cats. They're my favourite thing in the whole world and this place somehow exceeded my expectations. Most of the kitties here are absurdly friendly. We were told not to sit down or they'd climb on us and that they did. The ladies running the place are very, very nice as well. Maybe a few Euros or some cat food as a if you're going though. I'm allergic to and I did have to leave just over 40 minutes in. A shame but it's a wonderful place and a must see. If you are a cat lover this is quiet nice place for to see lots of cats. The mrs loves animals so we visited (im not a cat person) but she loved it. Its free but its worth donating as the upkeep is €130k a year Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
