Staff are busy but always have time to chat with you. Food is hot (when it's meant to be!) And a decent portion size and checked you are happy with your choice. Quality is - a plate of Chilli Nachos with easily do for 2 people, salsa, soured cream, jalapenos, nachos - layered. At peak times (e.g. Bingo) tables fill up early and you'd need to arrive 1 to 2 hrs early, or you'll be sitting on the wall outside - which honestly is a problem! A welcome from the attentive staff, food was served quickly and well presented. The goats cheese ciabatta and salad were exquisite. The small plate nachos were more than adequate portion size for one, I can't image three full plate size, comparable with the mountainous back-drop, I am sure. Light music pop music in the background gives a pleasant ambience on the street. Eastern cattle Egrets are precocious enjoying the scraps. Prices are keen and represent berry value for money. The food was delicious.. cod goujons were so fresh they almost fell apart, Cajun chicken ciabatta was delicious too. The kids was huge and apparently very tasty. Service was fantastic, Ellie was probably the nicest waitress I’ve met on the island and so attentive. Cheap prices and specials as well. Enjoyed eating in here one evening after being out for the day in PDC. Was looking forward to a but wanted nachos as a starter first. We were pre-warned about the size of the large portion but we were hungry after a few beers and laughed it off. Hence to say that we couldn't finish our delicious food. After not knowing where to eat, we ended up at The Black Bull and we are so glad that we did. All the food was absolutely incredible and the were / are beyond brilliant. They made us feel so incredibly welcomed to the point where we felt like we had known them all for years. We ate here 7 times over the course of our holiday (which says it all) and there honestly wasn’t one thing we could fault. The service, atmosphere, food, and drinks (especially the cocktails) were a 10/10. We can’t wait to come back next year, we already miss you loads! ❤️ Booked a table here, as got turned away the day prior due to no tables left so that was promising. We waited around 50 minutes for our food to come out. meat seemed over cooked, no taste in it and the chips seemed reheated as there were lots of oil in them, had better chips from the all inclusive we are at. My partner had the double patty. Which there isn’t much of a patty, it was just two quarter pounders, who had said it was dry too. Disappointed, I did hear the waiter say they are extremely busy but it was mid when we had arrived. Granted it did start to pick up when we were waiting for ours. There were no small bowls of sauce either, just your standard little packets that you get from a canteen, I feel these small touches would make an improvement. The atmosphere was a bit dull, no fault of the restaurant but you had a chap walk buy trying to sell his cheap flock of stock to all of the customers that were trying to eat. The waiter was pleasant. Seemed friendly, but seemed rushed off his feet. Perhaps this is a one off as the reviews seem the opposite of mine. The and owner were so accommodating. They have a little sport bar area for darts “still in progress but perfectly formed” the guys moved stuff around so I could use the area whilst the wife was in the beach. Zane lent me his own personal darts to use. If you take your own it has to be hold luggage. When back in Rotie this will one one place that we will come back to.
