Great place Lovely concert venue in the centre of Hexham. Loads of local parking and plenty of food and drink nearby. Good selection of shows throughout the year. We visited the NASA photo exhibition which was great, enhanced by having audio from the space flights playing in the background. Then we went for lunch in the cafe and had a delicious cheese and red onion toastie and a side salad. I'm going to say the toastie was the best I've ever had (grilled cheese, I think, which was divine). The cafe had a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were great. I want to come back for the cheese and bacon scone 🤩 Such a lovely variety of booked artists. Nice environment, cosy and personal. Bar not over priced just reasonable. No wait for toilets and above all a nice buzz about the place. This is a beautiful building, it has the library in and a lovely little cafe with toilets and there is a nice little park straight across the road. I attended during the spook night for Halloween so there was lots of fair rides and activity going on I will definitely be attending more of the events there. A good evening at the Queen's Hall Arts Centre listening to life stories from Henry Cole and Steve Parrish. A good night overall but the seats in the upper floor (Gallery) are a not the best if you are around 6ft. Slight mixup with the drinks that were ordered at half time but the staff sorted immediately when I spoke to them. We have been to several exhibitions and performances here, and it has always been a fantastic visit. Visited today to see the Chimpanzee Community Poject led by Jane Lee McCracken. Very emotional artwork and cause. It is fantastic to see the children's contributions.
