Beautifully decorated and packed with diners. We were warmly greeted and seated. Our drinks arrived followed by our starters of pork bao buns and teriyaki pork bites with crackling. They were delicious. My main meal was bacon wrapped monk fish (a little overcooked and dry) with gorgeous seafood pasta, asparagus and samphire. My husband had a massive steak and ale pie with mash and veg. It was impressive and beautifully crafted . Altogether an amazing meal, what a treat , generous portions, highly recommended Absolutely fabulous atmosphere. The food was amazing as we're the staff. Our first time here not be the last 35min car journey but worth it. We had an amazing visit to The Owl & Otter. The food quality is exceptional – proper, hearty Sunday dinners done to perfection. The meat was beautifully tender, the Yorkshire puddings were huge and crisp, and everything was covered in rich, glossy gravy. You can tell real care and pride goes into every plate. Desserts were just as impressive - indulgent, well-presented, and the perfect finish to a fantastic meal. What really sets The Owl & Otter apart though is how super dog friendly it is. They even offer a dog Sunday dinner menu, which is such a brilliant touch and made our visit even more special. Our dog was made to feel just as welcome as we were. Nice Sunday lunch. Extremely busy so you need to book in advance. Service was ok given how busy it was. It was however necessary to flag the waitress down a couple of times. Make sure you turn up hungry but if needed they do provide take home boxes. Excellent Sunday lunch, took a while for someone to acknowledge us when we were stood waiting but apart from that it is a excellent Sunday roast 👌 We went for Sunday lunch and definitely well worth the wait. It was absolutely amazing, excellent value for money, fab atmosphere and great service 👏🏻 10/10 will definitely be back 👍🏻 Just been for a family meal before I go away to work for a few months. We pre booked for 12pm and one of the 1st in today but it soon started to get busy so would advise to book ahead. The food was fantastic. I had the monkfish pasta today and I will be back again for it as soon as im home at the end of February. The staff were brilliant and there for your every needs Thought we'd give this place a go as we've been to Sorella Sorella and we're pleased to see that this was now ran by the same people. Interior decor is great, lovely atmosphere. The staff are great, service was really quick and the menu is far too difficult to just pick one meal! There's too many great sounding dishes on there. I had the Monkfish seafood pasta, never really been a fan of shellfish in pasta, but this was amazing. Totally converted. My wife had the Mosalla chicken which was also delicious and the boy had a pepperoni pizza. All really great portion sizes, not massive so you can't do it justice, they're just right. 100% be going back to try more. I don't often leave reviews, but I feel like I need to for Owl & Otter. We were met with a smile and that smile remained throughout our whole visit. The service was swift and friendly throughout. The atmosphere was warm, but not too busy. I had the feather blade beef, she had the pork belly. Both meats were incredible, the trimmings were perfect and the cauliflower cheese (as an extra) was to die for. We had sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate brownie for pudding, which were both exceptional. They also brought out a free brownie and ice cream with a candle for my wife's birthday, which was a lovely touch. I would definitely come back and I have already recommended this place to others. First time to this little gem, and it certainly did not disappoint! Beautiful decor and immaculately presented, with attentive and lovely staff. Service was excellent and timely, with a fantastic selection of food and very generous portions. The food was good quality and well presented, and there was not a single thing we could fault. The children's menu looks good too and again with good size portion and the same high quality as the main menu. Will definitely return and we 100% recommend - thank you!
