Totally understaffed on a Sunday and no organisation at all. We sat for more than 20 minuten waiting at a table, no one cared for us. We needed two coffees to drink af the spot and four sandwiches tot take away: that took 2 seperate bills !? Traditional old bakery and cafe in and modern half-timbered house. The service is very friendly and the quality of the products is amazing. Good choice for breakfast or for afternoon coffee. Five stars!!! An absolute gem. Very generous portions in everything they sell and serve, and very professionally done and served with a smile and genuine interest in the customer's wellbeing. Their range of bread types is second to none, although being a small family business they only have a few per day and they change every day. Their scrambled egg (as grandmother used to make it) is excellent too. Very lucky we stumbled across this charm on our way to Cologne! The staff was super friendly, the cakes and apple strudel delicious, and they even have a baby changing table! The building is also very charming and well kept. Overall fantastic cake and coffee experience! We took my In-Laws here for an afternoon coffee and cake. They have a beautiful selection of cakes and tarts quite reasonably priced as well as their own bakery. It is a beautiful little place with tables outside as well as inside, and I can imagine it being nice and cozy on the cold winter months. Light lunches and breakfast are also served - definitely worth a visit ;-) On our cycle route, so had to stop after reading the reviews 😆. We were not disappointed. Stopped for breakfast and a late afternoon piece of cheesecake. The coffee was very good. Highly recommended 👌 Delightful little Cafe, ideal for quick bite on your trip. Fresh well prepared food and smiley service. Delicatessen/cakes to die for. Really nice Bakery. Breakfast was so good. Bread was soft and fresh. Even they gave water to our dog.
