I've been driving past for years and finally decided to pop in with the family and get some food. Staff were nice, polite and helpful and the beer was cold. Nice. The food on the other hand was not very good. It had a processed look and taste to it just like is had been warmed through only moments earlier. I had a spicy prawn starter that consisted of 6 prawns on top of some undressed salad without any dip. We had a roast and I had pork with crackling (a long thin pork scratching), she had beef and the trend continued. The chocolate brownie was good though but I was aware it wasn't freshly made. This place for me would be a few beers in the sun and a bit of bar grub. It's not a date night sort of place for me. It's a shame as it's got everything else going for it. Good quality presented food with wide variety of beers and a very good service with a smile ... wasn't happy that prices didn't include v.a.t. couldn't find this mentioned on menu... So I paid extra £16.44 on top of a £81 .00 bill..... Didn't moan .alough I'm not aware you can charge something not mentioned on menu Fantastic pub and atmosphere! Good food with live music at times. Also there were bouncy castles for the kids that afternoon. Good selection of beer and food options. I came here with my wife for a rare lunch date. The plan was to sit in the beer garden as it is a nice garden here. However, it was far to hot, so sat inside instead. My wife had scampi and chips and I chose the beef and chorizo burger. There was a bit of a wait but I out that down to us being the first and the kitchen had only just opened, so wasn't to bothered. The food was really nice, I would definitely recommend the burger I had. We came here on Christmas day for our family Christmas Dinner. 7 of us, including two vegetarians. The food was fantastic and plentiful, no one left with an empty stomach. The staff were attentive, friendly and did a great job satisfying so many people on Christmas day. Well done Kings Arms staff! Well what a superbly hosted function we had on Saturday 4th May. As you can see the buffet was exceptional and the hosts set the room up perfectly for the 60th Diamond Wedding anniversary do. The room, staff and food was outstanding and we had a lot of positive comments from our guests. Thank you Sara and team. I waited one hour and a half for this meal. The food had no flavour whatsoever and everything was just drenched in gravy. I was allocated 3 potatoes and 2 minuscule slices of turkey and a bowl of vegetables that had been boiled to an inch of their lives, all for £20. If you love wasting your money then this is the restaurant for you.
