We visited mid week in mid-June 2024 towards the end of a very long and rainy day. We had bought access as part of the Waterloo 'all-inclusive' ticket. There are about 8 parking spaces (we were the only visitors!) and you should allow about an hour for the visit. Most of the tour is indoors (8 stations), and the outside two are on paved paths. The audio tour is excellent and there is a lot to see (including an ossary!). This was quite an interesting visit. The building and the garden were small: what made us think how they could gather there with so many officers and soldiers :-) There were very interesting original pieces! The voice guide was very informative and you could follow the explanation on maps. Don't forget to watch the short film almost at the end of your visit. It was very interesting. Very friendly person at the reception. Very interesting experience linked with the battle of Waterloo. Takes about 30 min to visit. A small parking lot is available on site. Small but nethertheless worthwhile the visit. Good audioguide and interactive for children with up to date exhibition of some authentic artefacts. Very small but unmissable if you want to have the full Waterloo battle experience. Worth the 5 euros and it is easy to get to. Considering this is an event from 200 years ago, the relics they have are amazing! Video will be online. Small but for anyone interested in The Battle of Waterloo, it’s a must visit.
