Only 40 minutes from Brussels, I thought it was a good place to go on my birthday. So we did. The temporary exhibition with etches of Rops, Klinger, Kubin and Simon was mind blowing great. And the permanent collection also was a real adventure. The fact that not a lot of people know of this is also great, because you can wander around and discover the collection at ease. A true hidden gem, interesting museum, beautiful park and arboretum, kind staff and surprisingly good restaurant. Nice with an area dedicated to local history and excavation. Another area with exhibitions on ancient Rome, Greece, Egypt, Middle East and Far East. Free entry and child friendly. There was also a temporary exposition on the Egyptian influence on modern life, which requires a small entrance fee. Nice museum(5€ for adult) and very beautiful park.
