We ordered coffee (which comes from a machine like in the office and it is terrible) and some cake which the lady put on the plate using her bare hands (non existant hygiene rules). Has a nice terrace when the weather is good.. Great place for a bite and a drink. On a sunny day as today it is very crowded, very touristy. But still quick and friendly service at the food stand outside. And enough space at the terrace. Maredsous extra, white only available here, very tasty in the sun. Possibility for full service inside. There is a cafeteria here. You can have all maredsous draft beer. Excellent. You might be drunken when you get out of here. They serve decent food. There is also a bookshop and a shop selling beer, bread, cheese and liquor. The coffee is probably the worst you can get in belgium. But again it s part of the local folklore so you accept it. Nice and cheese. Bit of an expensive tourist trap though Different. It was nice weather. We like it. Nice atmosphere, tasty local food and ! Worth having a bite here before our after a hike in the soundings ! Perfect for a family with kids! The queque to a bistro was very long, but there was a food and booth outside right next to the playground. We were totally satisfied with sandwiches and drinks from there and our kid had plenty of time to have fun at the playground in the meantime. The only good thing is the tasters, which is of logical value-for-money. Food is too expensive, same goes for the souvenir shop.
