To a fairly typical older style open airy (plenty of seating) roadside cafe. Receiving a pleasant welcome we ordered coffee and a teacakes each.... In the time it took me to walk next door to Londis/petrol station and back for paracetamol the coffees and teacakes arrived.... Teacakes we're fresh and tasty with real butter... The coffee was dark roast tasting and perfect strength. Value was excellent, other establishments easily £3-5 more. Casting an eye over the menu... Bearing in mind everything is freshly cooked, it was very value. Other reviews criticing value surely cannot be comparing like for like. When I popped next door for the paracetamols the londis fuel stop included a Starbucks and Greggs, why on earth would anyone consider pre packed, long shelf life produce? Support the independents.... Safe truck parking overnight, just a shame I can't get in for as out early in the morning. Would highly recommend. Stopped here randomly as I had just covered over 200 miles on my motorbike and I was close to shitting myself. Great humour from the girls working here, they called me boring for not wanting custard, ice cream or cream on my chocolate cake. If I'm ever near here I will stop again, it's got a lovely 90's community feel to it. Parked here for the night in my HGV. Had a nice hot shower and a stunning dinner.
