Had a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday with my sister. Staff lovely. Very reasonable prices too. We had the turkey roast plus cauliflower cheese. Great portion size. absolutely incredible food. The beef my Mrs had was exceptionalnas was my mixed grill. The atmosphere outside was relaxing and the other patrons were friendly. There's a minimal park for the kids but a large open space for them to make their own fun :) A last minute booking turned into a great meal. 5* Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Permitted to stop over in the carpark too which was an added bonus. Visited Saturday 21 June and found a table outside…. reason for visiting was a previous lunchtime visit which was a great experience. The garden was very pleasant, comfortable chairs with the brolly in the sunshine. Ordered the chicken fillet and the sea bass from the bar area with the female bar staff who was very pleasant and friendly. The food was brought out to us…..presented on the plate restaurant style… it was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly. Nice atmosphere to the garden area however the food was the star…..very very nice !! Compliments to the chef and the kitchen team!! The most amazing and delicious place!! It has wheelchair access for my 95yr old Mother-In-Law. The food portions are huge and lovely staff 😊 Food was 10/10 great staff experience as well. Great choice of meats and big portions of beef and turkey. Cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding, roast and new potatoes, carrots, broccoli and green cabbage to accompany your choice of meats. All reasonably priced and good service. A proper country pub doing great food, will definitely call again.
