We like doing things that locals do when we travel overseas and visiting this popular garden that is well used and loved was well worth the visit. Very beautiful plantings landscaped in a formal yet park like setting. Beautiful spot - dog friendly - decent parking. Lovely walks and the staff are great. Have been going here for nearly ten years and the place never disappoints. The best part about it is the nice and clean path asking the gardens. One can walk around at their place and not worry about sterling into muck and dirt. Plenty of runners and cyclists enjoy the rounds on early mornings. The view of the river from the bridge is lovely and one can easily spend twenty minutes just looking at the view and list in their thoughts. Other facilities include a nice little cafe, electric vehicle charging points, nice and clean toilets. An ideal place for an afternoon picnic. Free entry, you can take a long walk. It is connected to Antrim Forum and the Lough. It is one of the very few things to do in Antrim Had a lovely catch up with friends walking through the garden. The river had ducks and a great heron, the park filled with squirrels. The Cafe had delicious sandwhichrs Well worth a visit! Loved the food, only thing I would say is cover the food from the floor side, way too many people passing and close up to your food/hot dishes it needs to be closed it. We still ate the hot sandwiches from the kitchen thou!! 100%. Staff throughout were soo professional, informative and keep up the great gardening and cleanliness Immaculate and beautiful gardens, interesting facts and artifacts as well. Cafe parking and toilets all on site. Lovely place to enjoy a family day out.
