Was seated in high seated table which wasn't ideal for young kid and advised waiter needed normal seating and to let us know if one became available but was told that they had loads of people waiting to be seated but new people just walked in and other seated them at a low table which just became available in our view and after bit of complaining was given better seating. Good food though. Beautiful pub with lovely and helpful staff. Only lost a star due to limited range of beers on tap. Plenty of choice for lager drinkers though. 3rd visit within the last 8 weeks so reckon I like it I wouldn't go near Dormans at weekend. I'm too old, not my scene. However it's dead on at quiet times. Recently I tried their food, had spicy Thai chicken. Fair play to the chef, it was very good & fairly priced for the standard. Got pure ripped off. Got charged £32 for 4 single vodkas and black currants. Asked the bar maid and she just walked off. Earlier in the night had 4 double vodkas and blackcurrants for £28. Clearly making the prices up as they go along. Visited Dormans Bar today with my wife for lunch. Very pleasantly surprised....food was good for both of us & very good service. Reasonably priced too. Would recommend & go back again Great place to eat and drink. Probably one of the better spots in Magherafelt. But it's nothing overly special. The is friendly and the food is nice. Generally one of the better bars on the weekend. Bouncers management and bar are unreal lost my phone last night they checked cameras found that someone had taken it accidentally and brought it back to me honestly so impressed with the here they are unreal thank you all very very grateful The are quite rude. This one man from behind the bar came and started shouting in this women’s face and waving his hands at her. So weird, and the lady walked out crying.
