Food and service were outstanding the only reason I marked 4 for atmosphere was because of the noise. Although it was a Friday evening and the venue was very busy. We had booked a table and were taken to it immediately we arrived. I had the burger which was delicious, my friends had turkey and ham, roast beef and pan fried chicken, they all commented on how good these dishes were and plenty on the plate. Would recommend and definitely visit again. Called for lunch today with family. Food was excellent, beautiful pub and very clean. Had shorthorn beef on recommendation from waitress. Was faultless, maybe a little more potatoe on plate would have just made it perfect. Fabulous lemon posset for dessert. We will be Back again soon to try some more of the menu! A gem of a place set in the countyside just outside Broughshane. Even the exterior colour of the place is so warm and inviting. On entering such a warm reception, knowledgeable and helpfull staff. A beautiful dinner & so tasty , plenty of it & we just loved the atmosphere, all staff where so good & on the ball and all so friendly. Would highly recommend The Halfway House.😁 More of a FYI, Stopped to get food, they were open but don’t service food on Mondays ……. They did recommend The Thatch Inn, which was lovley. We come here quite often for our dinner and today we ordered 3 main courses, a baby bowl and a chip. The waitress brought the 3 main courses and walked away and that was the last we seen of her. Waited some time for a waitress to come with the baby bowl and chip but no one appeared so I went to find someone at the till to let them know we didn’t get everything we ordered. Sat and waiting another 15 minutes and still no sign of the baby bowl or chip. We had finished our own dinners at this point but gave the waitress the benefit of the doubt and sat another 10 minutes. MY POOR 8 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER sat for OVER 1 HOUR waiting on A BABY BOWL!! We got fed up at this point and decided to leave, when we were at the till the waitress that took our order (who I went to speak to about the food being missing) asked if we got everything to which I replied no we didn’t get the baby bowl or the chip. She offered to take the items we never got off the bill which obviously we were not paying for if we never got!!! Disgusted and disappointed in the establishment.. Needless to say we will not be back!!!
