We have never had a bad meal, and have tried veggie curry, carbonara, fish and chips, chicken fillet burger, roast dinners and of course their steak. Fantastic! I first used this restaurant for the breakfast platters on the morning of my daughter's wedding. I was so impressed with the food and helpfulness of the that I've since been in 5 times, for both lunch and dinner, with different friends and family members. I have continued to be impressed, as has anyone I've brought with me, with the standard and portions of the food, the atmosphere, and the friendliness of the staff. Brought Dad here today for Father's Day, and although he doesn't drink, he was offered a free Father's Day pint. Thought this was such a lovely touch! Also love that this is a local bistro, run by local people, who have made a real success of it, despite it opening just before Covid. Definitely recommend you give this local bistro a try 😊 First time visit recently with my son for lunch and the order was Lasagne with chips for myself and steak sandwich for my son and was more than pleased with the portion size and quality of food we received. Nice an relaxing surroundings and service was excellent and price was reasonable as nothing cheap these days and didn't care as my son was paying 👍Would highly recommend and next return visit will be for Sunday dinner I have heard good reports. Quite surprised how nice this was. Was also very busy on a Saturday after 2 pm. We were told first that there wouldn't be a table til another half hour but then something freed up anyway, so we stayed. Appreciated the options on the dietary menu. My partner had the gluten-free fish & chips and I had the veggie burger. Everything was really good and we'll be back. Was a bit expensive but was nice too. The were friendly and we're so incredibly in-control despite how busy it was. The music was good, loud but not too loud or overbearing. All the food was seasoned and tasted fresh. I found this place a walk away from our accommodation. We were not disappointed. They fit us in that afternoon. The service was friendly and the food absolutely amazing and so much od it. My other half had the Whole Hog toast and I asked for a veggie roast which they didn't hesitate to put together for me. The service was quick and the food was delicious. I had ordered the Fish supper which is £20! I was expecting a reasonable portion of chips and a full Fish fillet (more batter than fish), didn't even fill the plate 😕 you also get a small metal dish with more pea juice than actual peas and a tartar sauce.
