Nice place for a walk. Trees look like they were in "The Two Towers" with the vines growing around them. You can relax and watch the boats sail by. Docking available. Didn't see a lot of birds. Small parking area. Tour boats available. Wonderful place to go down on your boat. We stopped and moored up to get an ice cream off the ice-cream boat. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Great place to moor up and have a leg stretch or let the kids play in the park while you have a snack from the van. Mooring fees apply. We didn't stay overnight, but there is that option, but there is no power or water. Salhouse is beautiful. There is a playpark up the hill by the moorings. There is also a little tea van. The sunsets are amazing and so are the sunrises. Look out for the bats too! Tv signal was awful but that could be the boat. There are lots of swans and ducks too so get some duck food ready! So peaceful there. Can be muddy so make sure you have appropriate footwear! Nice though to the broad. Improved parking area with public toilets. Great access to the water. Great place to moor up for the day or over night. No electric hookup but you can top up with water. Sandy beach for easy access to the water. Kayaks available for hire if you want to get out on the water. We've SUP,d here a few time. seems clean enough. Just keep an eye out for cruisers and day boats. Salhouse is one of those hidden treasures that offers the perfect mix of tranquility and natural beauty. We visited on a sunny afternoon and were blown away by how calm and scenic the area is perfect for families, walkers, and anyone looking to unwind away from the busier parts of the Broads. There’s a lovely woodland path leading down to the water, with picnic spots and benches along the way. The itself is quiet, with canoes and paddle boards available to hire in the summer months. It’s also accessible by boat if you’re cruising the Broads, and there’s a mooring area with easy access to the shore. Wildlife lovers will appreciate the abundance of birds, and the sunsets here are absolutely stunning if you stay into the evening. It’s not overly commercialized, which adds to the charm. just nature, water, and peace. A picturesque and certainly one of my favourites. There are opportunities to hire canoes or even a paddle on a warm day. However, the real scene stealer is just the natural beauty of the and sunsets are postcard perfect. Lovely quiet broad, it’s £12 to moor for the night but you can walk around, or you can opt to drop anchor in the middle for free. Great little board not much to do but great scenery and cafe on site and you can book kayaks and canoes A nice to go for a walk, with mooring & boat options, small playground and toilets (when they're open). Very busy on weekends with lots of dog walkers. The parking area is large, but too expensive, at almost £5 for a typical visit. I'd recommend looking at Ranworth or Barton as alternative Broads with free parking and toilets.
