Wonderful Sunday lunch. After a little research we booked this for its reviews and location. It was even better than we expected, friendly welcome, great atmosphere, super value set menu with wines and wonderful service. Please don't expect a rushed lunch, this is a relaxed 'Sunday with the family' ... Perfect! I hope my photos do the kitchen justice, our meal was faultless. Highly reccomended. We went for lunch, well positioned but somewhat lacking in kerb appeal, similarly inside. There are several set menus starting at €17 for a basic one, through 22, 33 and I think another at44. Bread was OK, nothing special, couple of cold hors d'oeuvres, kind of set eggy thing and a pastry straw. The starters went down well, sweetbreads with chanterelles, grilled sardines, ham and melon. Main courses were cooked well but felt uneventful. Veal loin was perfect and pink, sadly the cutlery supplied was as blunt as a butter knife and you had to strain to hack the thing to pieces somehow. The accompanying veg and potatoes were a bit watery. Similarly the fish and duck were but the rest of the plate was a bit dull. Dessert was good, but not special. 3 quenelles of choc mousses, apricots with marzipan and cold fondant. Service started off very well but tapered off later on. Overall it was a meal but not quite enough for the price. Back to Socx Always a hit. Fresh and tasty food, amazing cook, great service and friendly atmosphere. This has never disappointed me and I would eat there everyday if I could! Great choice of wine, beers and champagne - introduction to French food among more internal dishes! we had there, for my dad's birthday and it was wonderful. We established a menu based on what they proposed on their menus. We chose and put a price for each selection. they were willing to this celebration and proposed to add some candles on the cake. Had not visited since before Covid so did not know what may have changed-only for the better new layout, great staff who manage guests who have little French with ease.
