I travelled 2 hours to see a bear and when I entered the park I said to the ticket man I am looking forward to seeing the bears and Wolfes, he said we only have one bear and one Wolfe I said OK and paid the entry fee €18 for three people. We looked around for the bear but couldn't find it so I eventually asked a woman, where is the bear she said it was not there on that day so we went on to see the other animals and saw one dear, one porky pine and a little wolfe. What a waste of a day, 4 hours traveling for nothing I don't recommend!! Very sad place. Don't take there your children!!! Animals are locked in small cages, which is a shame for the authorities of such a beautiful parco. They live in conditions that I've never seen before in any place in the world. They are sentenced to a cruel prison, not saved. Wake up people!!!! I plan to intervene in this case to the italian authorities. I think it was about worth the money, 4 euros each. There is a little museum, and a couple of Eurasian bears rescued from a circus (although I had the previous impression that there would be injured Marsican bears and I was looking forward to seeing this unique subspecies). We saw a couple of deer too. It was a nice enough place to visit and to spend a spare hour or so in Pescasseroli.
