Staff is very professional and friendly. I lost my mask just prior to entering and they provided me with a new one for free. However no credit cards are accepted which is unfortunate and all staff only speak Italian. Most signage is in English except for the older across the road at the Museo Pirro Marconi next to Imera Ruins. Very explanatory museum. The remains of the temple is not much but you understand all very clearly watch the 10 minute video, it is very helpful. The artifacts in the are beautiful and interesting. The upper is hard to find and lacks English descriptions. It has a platform-like design with artifacts arranged through the levels There are two museums and the ruins of an Ancient Greek temple in the area. The near the ruins is well maintained. The other one seems like it has been abandoned. A must visit if you are in the area although the site is closed in the dry season due to risk of fire. The is worth the visit though. Lots of artefacts that are preserved very well. Gives a great idea of highly skilled our ancestors were. Nothing to see here! Blocked off and covered in prickly weeds. Took some pictures but all signs are in faded Italian.. avoid at most costs! In this location you will find 2 museums. The most visited is the one next to the main road where you can see the ruins of the famous Tempio della Vittoria. Himera - a great place to get some deeper knowledge of the rich Sicilian History. If you are near Cefalu, please take the time to visit this small and very interesting archeological site. The ruins and the two are well worth the little detour!! Really nice experience. Small, but the next to the temple is very nice and modern with a great video explaining the story and setting the scene. It will also be interesting for kids (plus it is texted in English). The other part of the which is up the hill is less modern and informative (and only in Italian), but it does have one really interesting item (a gold platter). Please go and support this little museum! We had a great time. So much amazing information and the staff are all so helpful and knowledgeable. It’s such a shame that this place is not advertised very well. We only found it because of another hotel guest. No information about it at our hotel and it isn’t clearly signposted along the road.
