And it turned out, 5 Euro for the lemon tart, 6 euro for the chocolate cake, 3.5 euro for the cherry pie. We were very surprised by the price. It’s about 50%-80% more expensive than usual. The lemon tart and chocolate cake were good, but ordinary. The quality doesn’t not really justify the high price. The cherry pie was pretty disappointing. The cherry stuffing was sour but good, the pastry itself rather underwhelming. Delicious croissants, pain au chocolat and butter waffles. Nice crunch on the outside but buttery and soft on the inside. Make sure to go early enough if you want some amazing pastries, they were almost sold out by noon. Great cafe and dessert after touring the castle. Service was good although they didnt speak English. As long as you know what you want and you are not rude the language barrier shouldn't be an issue. The building looks very nice outside but due to the working hours not possible for us to try it. We were in bouillon from Sunday afternoon till Tuesday. Pity. Very nice traditional products. It has a cosy atmosphere, around noon the reasuring background noise of the baker cleaning his gear, and later on a laid back feel for a high tea or a whipped cream cappuccino. They even serve several kinds of belgian beer. Never experienced that before. Cheers! Had many delicious for breakfast from this place. Highly recommended! Friendly staff and generally good sold. Decently priced and we went there frequently during our stay in Bouillon. Above average for Belgium standards, but if we are comparing to French they are average. Overall, still recommend this place to everyone who is staying in Bouillon. I love the quality of the they offer!
