Excellent park, really well laid out and very well maintained. Our lodge was beautiful, very clean and smart. Had a fantastic week there. Staff were friendly and helpful.. Location is excellent and a short walk from Ullswater.. but a great base to explore the lakes from as its not as busy as other parts of the lakes. we would go again.. Stunning campsite and facilities, we were so impressed we booked an extra night whilst there. Staff clearly work hard to keep standards high and it shows! Facilities block is best we have used being modern and spotless. This is a big site offering various accommodation all of which looked excellent. We booked a motorhome pitch which was immaculate with plenty of space. Only downside for us was that WiFi is an extra charge and we felt for the pitch price should be included. That said, we have paid more for far worse sites! Good location being an easy, short walk into Pooley Bridge with several pubs/restaurants, a boat trip and bus service. Will definately be back to stay at Hillcroft when in the area. stayed in our tourer on a service pitch. Absolutely spot on lovely site. Very clean and modern toilet and shower block, dog wash on site is also a nice touch as you can see through the window, staff are great 5 stars all round, will definitely be returning.
