Excellent food. Seafood chowder and the wings were a highlight for me. So sad they had ran out of mussels. Six years ago I met a special person in there and since then we return there at least once a year fo our anniversary. We book a same table every time apart from once when we didn't thought we need a booking and it was extremely busy. Evenings there are always busy that's why we go for midday lunch between three and five as weekend evenings are pretty busy. Food is absolutely delicious! Menu updated very regularly but the quality never change. Staff is always pleasant. Not annoying but present if you need. Definitely one to return to. Decided to pop in here today for a spot of lunch. Was greeted by a very friendly young lady who made a very good first impression. Lovely menu including a separate daily special early bird menu. Excellent service and the lady who brought our food was also wonderfully polite. Food was delicious and well presented. I must compliment the staff and those responsible for their training. Thank you for the wheaten loaf - it's the best I've tasted and so glad to be able to take one home. A lovely dining experience. Been going there for many years, never disappoints. Food very tasty, big portions and service with a smile. Definitely recommend the ribs 😋 Lovely European/Irish-inspired gastropub with a warm, welcoming vibe and a crackling fireplace. The Daubé beef was rich and tender, the chicken parmesan perfectly crisp, and the rosemary potatoes and sweet potato fries were spot on. The Irish cheese fondue with sourdough and the fresh Caesar salad made perfect starters. Great food, cozy atmosphere—definitely worth a visit on a day trip! Have been there many times. Very nice restaurant. The service is also very good. I like it as the disks are never too salty or spicy, which keeps the flavour of food. There is a large car park. It even provides drive-in takeaways. The only minor thing is the location, which is beside a small road. Probably it is more famous at local. Otherwise, one might only find it by searching on Google maps, like me. But once there, it never disappoints you. Amazing food and staff were very friendly Sunday afternoon for lunch. Main course was good. Steak was lovely, but very over priced in my opinion. Starter was £11 (Brie) and it was just about more than a mouthful of chopped up Brie (50% rind) in a filo pastry case. We order Brie in a restaurant down the road for £8.50 and have to share as the portion is so big! Service was ok, nothing spectacular but not bad/rude either, just very slow. Had to go looking for staff and ask when our main course was coming and had to ask for more drinks. Is a shame as I have had good experiences here too but this isn’t the first time this has been our experience. Hit or miss is the only way to describe this restaurant. No wait for a table as we had booked in advance. Bill was £110 for 2 adults and 2 children.
