Set on the grounds of a huge old industrial halls and picturesque parklands, this place caters predominantly to exhibiting sculpture. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of paintings, BUT to be in a space where sculpture is given the space - and we talking large, industrial hall filling works - is a rare pleasure indeed. There is so much to see you will need to take a whole day or at least 3 hours not to cut yourself short in experiencing this place. And when you need a break, there's a fabulous restaurant/cafe that serves lovely food at a good price, too. All round WIN! Access was relatively easy from the train station by buss. The out door art I found to be the most phenomenal, beautiful and moving. With the indoor area I found they where trying too hard to get an aesthetic. One section had gravel flooring that was a constant distracting noise with all the people walking over it. It draws your focus away from the artwork. Other sections where really well thought out with some incredible art work depicting relevant issues. Amazing exibition! You should go if you have the opportunity It is a must see.
