Camping Lago Resort

Nuévalos, Spain Holiday park

One of the Best Places To Visits in Nuévalos Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Situated in glorious scenery. Terraced. Not particularly clearly signed. Map of site provided lacking details. Excellent restaurant and swimming pool. Basic shop on site. Local town has several bars and two small shops. Little else to commend it. The facilities on site are situated at the top of the camp and not easily accessible if you are less than agile, old or disabled. Showers are odd in that each cubicle contains a sink, shower and WC. The setting is splendid. Little in the area other than Monasterio de Piedra which is expensive at 18.50 euros per person...13 for over 65s. But not an easy walk for anyone in any way physically challenged. I cannot find any fault with the site. But not a site or area I will rush back to. The cabins were small, the bed uncomfortable with no light switch near the bed, which meant trying to find the bed in the pitch black. A cabin for two with only one cup and one decent knife, very under equipped generally but a lovely spot. We couldn't see the lake due to the trees. A large cafeteria with an extensive menu, menu del día was 15€ perfectly adequate and value for money though not exciting. Lovely staff. The campsite is in a good location for exploring this part of the country and is spacious with all the amenities that one needs. However, being one of the only campsites in the area with little competition, the staff do not go the extra mile with regard to friendliness and cleanliness. The bathrooms were filthy, to say the least. In the three days that we stayed, they were not cleaned once (same stains in toilets and drains clogged with hairs; nothing to do with the guests, as was suggested by the reception staff). The restaurant staff could also be a little friendlier. It's such a shame as the campsite is otherwise lovely. For one tent and one person, no car, no electricity, it cost €26 per night. A gravel plot. Restaurant closed, swimming pool closed. Undrinkable tap water. Should have been half the price. I camped here for 4 nights and it was very nice. The front desk was very helpful with recommendations for the local area, and helped me to call a taxi when I needed to leave as I don't speak Spanish well. Facilities are basic but plentiful, what you can expect from a campsite really. Beautiful surrounding area with lots of hiking options and close enough to walk to the monestario Would have been 5 stars but the drinking water tasted horrible. The only downside really Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
