Lovely waterside location with amazing views over the shore of the estuary of the River Tagus and Lisbon, an early morning walk offered some good views of the birdlife on the shoreline. Alcochete is a lovely bustling town with some good, authentic restaurants and comfortable accommodation. The town is also located close to some excellent birdwatching locations. Luckily is the place open again and we can walk and the view over the tages river. Walkway is clean and the grass path are well maintained. A pity is that people on bikes think that this walkway is also a bicycle path. It was a very clean pretty place about 20 minutes outside the downtown Portugal. I really loved walking along the beach area. Ántonio's restaurant was very nice. Delish dinner. If I ever return, I'd definitely goback to that restaurant again. Doesn't matter if it's summer, spring or fall, a walk around here lets you relax and the amazing views on Lisbon and the Tagus. Excellent for a healthy early morning/afternoon walk. Beautiful place with unique view to Lisbon, the sunset! 😎 Nice avenue next to the saeside to a sunset (see the pic). Heaps of people walking, jogging, dog walking... There is a bar at the park where you can a beer watching the sunset. Be aware that most of the time it is quite windy, so even in summertime, I would recommend long sleve at least or a pullover.
