Thank you We finished our short holiday in the region with a visit of Vollereaux and a picnic in the vineyard (organised by Vollereaux and you can book this via "The Vollereaux Experience" on their site). The of the cellars and the explanation was interesting and I learned a few new things (I have heard the explanation at several houses already and I think I could even do the explanation myself already). The of 3 champagnes was wonderful. They give you a decent size glass so you can experience the aroma's in your nose and you get a good quantity. The picnic in the vineyard was great. Behind the Vollereaux buildings they put tables and benches and you get a picnic basket with with plates, cutlery, glasses and a tablecloth. The food itself was half a baguette and a wonderfull assortment of 3 differtent cheeses and 4 different sorts of meats together with some pickled gurkin and onion and butter. Besides the food you get a bottle of water and off course a bottle of champagne. After the meal there is a small dessert too. You even get a Vollereaux summer hat... which looks nice on the pictures My experience at Maison Vollereaux was truly exceptional and absolutely worth every moment and every euro spent. The led by Lou was outstanding — she was knowledgeable, engaging, and conveyed the history and craftsmanship behind with genuine passion. Her explanations offered a perfect balance between technical detail and storytelling, making me appreciate every aspect of the process, from the vineyard to the cellar. The itself was equally impressive, showcasing the elegance, complexity, and balance that define Vollereaux champagnes. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded expectations.
