Due i sentieri possibili: uno Easy, l'altro ad anello; il primo della durata di circa un'ora, il secondo di sicuro più impegnativo. spettacolare la vista con i monti del Gran Sasso innevati e sotto l'aridità dei calanchi. The views are spectacular, on clear days over the bay of Santa Margherita one can see the Norman town of Drive perched on the hilltop. Fatto il che parte dalla sinistra fino alla Pietra di S.Paolo della durata di circa un'ora, tra discesa e salita, per tornare indietro (e che salita!). Purtroppo, il Centro Visite era chiuso, ma le indicazioni lungo la strada sono più che chiare. Il è, praticamente, tutto al sole (tranne per un boschetto di conifere lungo la strada), per cui consiglio cappellino e tanta acqua (giunti alla Pietra, per fortuna, c'è una fontanella). Per mancanza di tempo, non ho completato il ad anello, che prosegue oltre e che riconduce al punto di partenza, dove vi è il Centro Visite. Penso valga la pena completare il giro. Il posto è molto suggestivo ma non ho trovato molto utili le indicazioni sul percorso. Sono indicati i 2 tragitti (anello e per la Pietra si San Paolo) ma non lo è invece il fatto che il grosso del completo si articola in mezzo a delle campagne, con relative case, che sinceramente cancellano molto del significato di "riserva". We visited the park on thursday to ask the receptionist if all the excursions are for free since the price isn't mentioned in the flyer. She responded that all the tours are for free. We came back on saturday for the tour with a reservation. On the phone they told us that the begin is at 5 pm. We arrived correctly but we had to wait till 5.30 pm. In meantime they offered us to consume something at the bar (not for free). First they wanted us sign a formular (for free) but it was mandatory to take part at the excursion. After we signed the paper, we were forced to pay a price for the tour (8 euros per person) and 10 euros per person for an aperetive after the tour. In addition the whole excursion would be in italian, for that reason we would not recommend it for tourists. All in one it's a SCAM! We are really sorry that WWF is reflected by this enterprise. The calanchi are special landforms and the Oasis has a ring path that takes about 3 or 4 hours to hike. It is beautiful but a bit difficult. Starting from the visitor’s center you go downhill no matter which direction you choose. The end of the hike is then uphill. There are unique flora and fauna and amazing views. The visitors center has information and sometimes food. There are picnic tables if you bring a lunch and a restroom. Bellissimo immerso nella natura. Il sentiero è percorribile sia a piedi che in automobile, ma consiglio di perc.orrerlo a piedi per apprezzare meglio il paesaggio. Oltre ai suggestivi e caratteristici calanchi, si gode di una bellissima visuale sul Gran Sasso. L'ingresso della Riserva è ben segnalato e la strada per raggiungerlo è asfaltata. Consigliatissimo. Il centro WWF era chiuso ma il e’ libero, non possiamo dire che non c’era nemmeno un cane perché ben tre cagnotti ci hanno scortato per più di metà’ percorso, forse sapevano che valeva la pena di fermarsi lì e tornare dalla stessa parte, la seconda metà del circuito ad anello e’ infatti , a differenza della prima metà molto bella e suggestiva, lunga e priva di interesse Bellissimo parco, abbiamo fatto il giro breve, sconsigliato nelle ore di mezzogiorno nei periodi caldi come abbiamo fatto noi.
