Be sure to wear sturdy shoes with a grip, as there are some steep sections. The climb to the top is it for the 360 degree view. Allow for at least an hour to get a good look around. And, yes, you have to buy your entrance ticket at the bat next door. Fantastic visit, unexpected in size. 5€ entrance (ticket at the bar) and you can have a guide via a QR code at the entrance. The narrow steps to the top of the Castello made me look and see how well they have been used through time. At the top is an amazing "aqueduct" created for their wells and baths at the very top.
