Cosy family run hotel and popular restaurant (book on weekends and public holidays) where the service is friendly and efficient and the food simple but tasty and of very good value. Highlights are consistently good steaks, the generous cheese board (you get to help yourself) and (apparently) the best Irish coffee for miles. The Côtes du Rhône (available by the carafe) is a perfectly acceptable accompaniment. This is a great stop leaving or headed back to Switzerland via Geneva. 5 euro RV parking, great food and an amazing wine selection. Extremely friendly staff. There's a fishing lake and the territory is great for nature photography 25 yrs ago , when we were still living in Paris, This magic and romantic place was our little hideaway gem ...Now, we live in Australia and went back full of memories (sight and food) last week in Feb 2020, with our son who learned how to iceskate when he was 3yrs old. Nothing has changed!!!! The place is stunning (really looked after and updated) The owners are the same, absolutely darling and passionate. It's good we recognised each other!!(ouf!) The children has grown , the next generation is there for keeping the tradition. The food is amazing ,affordable delicious and unforgettable. Our huge favourite "the Veal cutlet" cooked in the cheminey.. but everything is absolutely gorgeous. The wine list is fantastic .To make it short this is paradise❣️❣️❣️❣️ We used to stay few days on site in the fantastic bedrooms.This time,of course, we wished we could stay... Ive been coming to this place once each year for the past 10 years and all i can say that its amazing place to visit. Wonderful setting, good food, very friendly staff, good price-quality ratio. What else can you wish for? Remember to make time to walk around the beautiful lake before or after the meal. We went here twice in one week, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was delicious on both occasions, steak cooked exactly to order over wood fire. The service at lunch was excellent even though it was a very busy day. The service at dinner was very slow, more than 20 minutes waiting to take our order and then another 20 minutes before drinks arrived. The waiter even asked if we wanted our drinks with our food, weird.
