This residence lets unused apartments for older folk to visitors on a hotel basis. The apartments are very luxurious and room services are good. There is a bar, restaurant and games room and swimming pool,also exercise machines. Location is Central in Abbeville, a historic town in the Somme. The staffing is lightweight but friendly, and the residents like having the visitors. They liked our small dog, and dogs are welcome. Good free parking. About 100km from Calais and Rouen. Try it, you'll love it. Don't let reviews that it's an old folks home put you off. Yes it is but it's also great, affordable and clean apartments Nice accommodation with great facilities. Big room with terrace. Beware, booking accepted, money paid, CANCELLED by hotel few days before arrival. Transferred to a 2* inferior hotel nearby as nothing else available at short notice. Bitterly disappointed, believe they double booked rooms in my case. Money being refunded, why take bookings on unavailable rooms in first the instance. Leaves a sour taste especially when I arr at 2* alternative, never in life having stayed at anything so old. Rested few hours and left, paid in full, certainly not the managements fault it is what it is. Domitys were totally in the wrong, very disappointing booking system they run open to failure with customer satisfaction nil ! We stayed here for one night on 31st August 2019. We booked two Standard apartments for 2 adults and 2 children under 10. The rooms were very modern, clean and bigger than we expected. The complex is really nice and facilities like pool and gym are great. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. The check-in process was quick and easy. The only reason I haven't given this a 5 star is that the restaurant menu is quite limited. However they did give us 50% off vouchers to use which we did. I'll give this place 4.5 stars and would definitely return in future!! We spent two separate nights at Domitys Abbeville, having first used the group in Amboise. We are so impressed by the accommodation, staff and facilities, that we have booked a week’s visit in summer 23. The place is spotless, facilities are excellent and no problem at all in dining in the restaurant (set meals according to the weeks menu) Got to say, all the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. Convenient for town, supermarkets and fuel - and only 75mins drive from Le Shuttle. Looking forward to our return!! Very good breakfast, evening meals and room service available..Swimming pool and sauna a wonderful bonus.Thankyou Domitys, Now i know about you,i will deffinately stay with you again Brilliant place to stay for access to Calais, tunnel / ferries 1 hour 15 mins away. Clean, good sized rooms and friendly staff, we don't look beyond this place when making a crossing.
