To be clear, we asked our hosts for a recommendation for dinner after a long day out and they recommended this restaurant, even going so far as to book us a table. This is not somewhere you would easily stumble across. You'd find it by recommendation and thankfully internet recommendations count. This is a surprising restaurant with absolutely stunning views across the valley if you sit on the rear terrace. The food is simple, local and really tasty. Eat as Italians do, take your time and enjoy the courses. We didn't see a menu, all the staff knew what was on offer today it was all fabulous. We had a pasta dish each to start and literally passed them around so we all tried each. Main courses were more personal but an amazing variety of meats. Our reservation was for eight in the evening, which is early by Italian standards, late for us. By the time we'd finished, the restaurant was lively. Service was attentive but unhurried, and hospitable despite our lack of Italian. Heartily recommended. It was not possible to get sunday lunch as walkers as we had no booking.
