It's nice, but if out of season, which is not very long here, you need to bring everything you need with you. Don't expect anything fancy here. It's like a large quarry filled with water. Wow! We've been here on a working sunny day in December, and it was totally empty. Nice place to visit and walk around, enjoying the views! There is a nice free parking lot, Unfortunately, there is plenty of a trash around.. Be careful if you go to the beach with dogs. There are many plants with barbs. With warm turquoise waters, spectacular scenery and a cute bar and restaurant, this place has it all! And it's soooo quiet. Simply amazing place, fantastic for star gazing. Very nice view but the shore is stony. Not children friendly beach. There's an restaurant with nice looking menu but I didn't taste anything. Cheap Camping area is very near. Beautiful lake, outdoor playground for children at the waterfront. Restaurant closed at the time we went (november). Wow, what an amazing place! Blue, warm water and the red badlands in the background! Not crowded and beautiful silence😍 Very nice swimming/inland beach spot. The water is clean and warm in summer. There are lots of fish but they don't bother you. There is a restaurant and ice cream booth close by if you need a snack or spot of lunch. Pedalos can be hired for €10-€12 per hour from the ice cream booth. Well worth a trip. The public access road could do with resurfacing - be careful of the pot holes. A concrete ramp at the beach allows vehicle access to the water, however there's a sign saying no vehicles on the beach (but I saw some people ignoring this rule). Beach shoes or sandals are strongly advised, as it's very uncomfortable to walk on the pebbles otherwise. There is no lifeguard service. Kayaking here is fantastic, you can really appreciate the wonders of the Granada Geopark, and see and access areas that are otherwise virtually inaccessible. On two recent visits here my enjoyment was spoiled by, on each occasion, an extremely inconsiderate family group who made excessive amounts of noise, seemingly oblivious to others around them. I think I heard the name of a dog shouted at high volume at least 100 times (and that's not an exaggeration) yesterday. It was a different group of people on each occasion. Next time I will move well away from the ramp area to somewhere more secluded, and hopefully more peaceful. The restaurant is sadly closed, but there is a kiosk selling ice cream etc., with tables and chairs. I imagine that will close out of season. I noticed the nearby camp site with swimming pool was open.
