Lime deserves a standing ovation for outstanding food, and ambience. I stayed in the Maritim Marina Bay for almost a week and tried a range of restaurants in Vlora. Hand on heart, this place was consistently excellent that I didn’t hesitate to return for both lunch and dinner in the last few days of my trip. Pictures of several dishes as proof! And no filter. A special shout out to the host and hostess. I never got their names, but I believe the host is Klevi and the hostess is a gorgeous blonde. The staff are especially hard workers that make it look easy despite literally not sleeping during the weekends. Hats off! Yes, the prices are higher than average. And yes, takes more time than average. But this place is set in a 5-star hotel overlooking the most beautiful part of the Ionian Sea and the food & you get are sensational. Worth the price, worth the wait. A nice variety of that look and taste good. The is cozy and fancy. There’s a dress code: no swimming suits, flip flops or shorts allowed. Have visited here often though I went with my dog this week and was told we couldn’t be seated at the outside bar area for a drink because he is “too big” I asked where it says they don’t allow dogs and the hostess said they do but my dog is a little too big. While the were good (and fairly affordable from what I can tell), and the music was nice creating a good atmosphere, I must note the was subpar. It started out with the hostess being very polite, and a waiter quickly taking my order. But once the first order was placed and delivered, it was like I didn't exist. I tried to flag down the waiter for a second drink for about 40 minutes, even waving at one point hoping someone would see me, before I just gave up and just went up to the bar myself and ordered my drinks. I would have understood if it had been a busy night, but there was barely anyone there and there were actually several waiters just walking around, but it was like I was invisible. The only reason I didn't leave was because I really did like the vibe of the place in general. I get that it's the start of the season and some of the waiters might be teenagers in a summer job, but that's not really an excuse.
