Car park, pubs, cafes, shops and a big shopping mall just at corner. There’s no any reason to miss this place if u r in Bedford. This is the nicest gem in Bedford's rather rusty crown. Worth a along on a sunny day. Beautiful Had a day along the stopped off for lunch at the embankment stayed at the swan ..very relaxing and pleasurable Beautiful views in the middle of the town, a place to go for a or just to sit and chill on a summers day and admire the two bridges, plenty of water birds to see and a good opportunity for the kids to feed them. The whole embankment area of Bedford is the real jewel in the crown. It is beautiful, with a couple of spots to get food and drink. A park to sit and relax, or play a game of some sort. Our wonderful embankment. Popped along to see the boat races. Love coming here and strolling around the park. The gardens were beautiful with all the tulips in bloom. Had a coffee ice cream, oh and a pint along the way. Lovely, relaxed area. Easy to around, grab an ice cream, parks for kids and benches to sit on and watch the rowers! Just great. place to around but stay off the hire boats as going on a world cruise is cheaper. area to relax and for walks. More benches would be and a little more clean up of the near the bridges and edges. A place to my dog, best to keep dogs on a lead as geese and swans get a little upset. Absolutely gorgeous when the lights are on at night. Beautiful along the river. old bridge at the town end. Nice feature to Bedford. I've lived here all my life and have spent many hours here. The most beautiful and stunning views, especially at night with the lights on and it looking amazing, really for a couple to have a romantic down We had a short city (town really) break in Bedford and it was to be able to along both sides of the river, seeing the rowers practising and the flower beds, parks and grassy spaces on both the North and South banks. A very pleasant venue for a picnic. Love it around this area It's about the only part of town worth seeing these days. And where the council seem to invest most if their money. Close to the Embankment Hotel for food and drinks. Plenty of benches along the riverside. Worth a visit.
