Beautiful castle, well maintained, amazing views, definitely visiting. Few restaurants and bars inside Kanina was one of the highlights of our trip to Vlora. Just a short drive from the city, it felt like stepping back in time. No crowds, no noise—just epic views, ancient stones, and total peace. You can see all of Vlora Bay from the top. Tip: Go before sunset for the best light and fewer people. Bring water and good shoes—the path is a bit rocky but totally it! You get what you expect to get from ruins. We were there in winter season and everything was opened, no entrance fee, no working hours even if officially was written that in winter season it's opened till 16:00 and anyway have entrance fee. Could be a nice place for picnic and definitely for observation of sunset. Nice with interesting and amazing view. There is barely any information available about the at the place and there are some eyesores in and around the area but that’s quite normal in Albania. A donkey and some sheep and goats in the area are adding to the charm of the place. 300 lek entry is quite pricey for what you get but it’s not really expensive either. visiting if you are already in the area. Steep drive up but it. Not much caste left but something feels good there. Be aware of field in the middle of the caste full of small bees.sound they are making is amazing, but they do bite 🤣 is not far from Vlore, so can make small trip even if don't have anything else planned for that day We were there in April, admission was free. Only a wall remained from the castle, but the view of the city is simply wonderful. Zamek jest zamknięty ale pod zamkiem również można zrobić ładne zdjęcia Fermé pour rénovation. Only ruins, but I recommend the hiking trail though, it is beautiful, but unfortunately hard to find from the bottom of the mountain The offers beautiful of Vlora and the surrounding cityscape. Its location is convenient, just a 10-15 minute drive from the city center. There is a small parking area, which was empty when we arrived. There might be a fee to enter, but during our visit, there was no one present so we couldn't actually pay. Overall, it's a lovely spot that's definitely visiting for the and the stunning view. We were the only ones ( in April) there so we had plenty of time to take as many pictures and just relax up there, it was great with amazing views. But I can imagine that if it's crowded in peak season you might have a different experience. A historical spot with a surprisingly peaceful atmosphere. The ruins are well-preserved, offering a glimpse into the region’s medieval past. The from the top are beautiful—especially at sunset—and the surrounding countryside adds to the experience. There isn’t much signage or tourist infrastructure, so it’s best for those who enjoy exploring quietly and imagining the on their own. A great stop for lovers and photographers alike! Schöne Aussicht , aber aktuell gesperrt - Renovierungsarbeiten …. Aber man kann trotzdem die Aussicht geniessen 😊 Cool ruins with a beautiful but not the price paid. It was 3 euros and took about 5 minutes to walk around the site. There was one plaque with a bit of information on it. I would recommend it if it was free and on your way, but I would not say it's going out of your way for it. In Albania every piece of stone has history. Kanina was rather ruins but still very beautiful.
