They sell the famous local cookies. Get some of those and a cortado. Perfect! Best ever. Very nice staff, good coffee, nice drinks, great value for money. Must go. This is the place where the locals have their coffee and cake. Fantastic homemade from their own bakery right beside the bar. The cortado is also delicious. Whenever you are on this road you must stop here and try their cookies. The Mantecados are great, too. The bar is easy to find, it’s right beside the main road, you can’t miss it. Really good, local coffee specialties, Cafe Cortardo, Espresso doble etc. and of course have to join the ranks of praising the super delicious cookies. One can also get a fully fledged breakfast and what traditional Canary pan bread prepared with cold cuts, cheese, tomatoes and salad. Also some background info/history on the bar i.e. to the side where you can opt to buy and other delicacies to take home. Local hub where people meet for cafe, drinks and quick snack or just buy cigarettes. Great atmosphere, long opening hours, women working here are both friendly and quick in service. The baked bread with ham or goat cheese is a great snack. Best squeezed orange juice. Go there for the cookies! The coffee is good as well. The cafe bar is run by some ladies. Quite a few locals were stopping by. Very friendly little local bar selling delicious, freshly-made bocadillos on toasted baguette, excellent freshly-squeezed orange juice, and great coffee. Bar Parada is really the most famous bar in Fuencaliente. As you can read in all the other posts... people like the food and cafe. For myself it would be nice to have salad and onions also on a bocadillo with vegetables. But yes, the quality is good. Cafe also. What I miss is a friendly hello or a smile from the staff. The owners horrible unfriendly. I pass by many years, but now I dont like anymore. They are to famous in my opportunity. But offcourse, for a quick touristic stop it's OK.
