The shore gives beautiful views over the mountains & offers pets friendly beaches. Wheelchair access to the shore is also provided. There are several rentals around the lake & cafes with the view. The waters in the lake itself are shallow near the shore so you can “walk” in mud for some time, but as soon as you cross the waters under the bridge the magnificent rocks view opens. There is also a hiking trail along the river with access to the small rocky swimming spots. I took kayak and was extremely happy to make breaks anywhere you wish to swim in the refreshing waters with the stunning view around. Mieux vaut prolonger votre route de quelques km jusqu' au lac de sainte croix. Belle découverte, en bateaux puis à pieds le long des gorges du lac. Endroit agréable au pied des basses gorges. Parking assez grand et ombragé. En saison 5€/la journée. De là, vous avez accès au sentier de randonnée du garde canal et à plusieurs sociétés de location de diverses embarcations pour decouvrir les gorges. Paddle, canoe, bateaux électriques, pedalos... par contre en saison prévoyez à l'avance car sans réservation c'est quasi impossible d'obtenir quoique ce soit. Donc réservez !
