We have had a lovely 7 night stay in the Larch Lodge. The woodland setting of the lodges is perfect, and the accommodation is wall maintained and clean. Hot tub was cleaned every day and made the holiday extra special. The biggest seller of this park is how brilliant all of the staff are. All 4 of the people who came to check the hot tub daily interacted so kindly with our 2 year old who was interested in what they were doing. The entertainers were all so kind and funny every night despite our son being one of the only kids there this week (must be hard playing to such a small audience). The bar staff at the boathouse were funny, kind and very at their job. And the lady working in the shop Sunday to Wednesday was brilliant to talk to and again really kind to our son. Some people say about the facilities not being great here, but I think for the size of park they're really good. And if you want bigger and better it's only 10 minutes walk to the bright lights of Lower Hyde. location, caravan. However the requirement of submitting a face photo plus photo id for you to store will stop me making any further bookings with Parkdean. I'm happy to show my photo id but not for you to store a face photo or my id. No matter how secure you say the website is it can still be hacked. People should be aware of surrendering their details for storage before booking with Parkdean. There is no reasonable requirement for this information. This is just a data capture exercise and has spollt my overall experience. It was an ok site. Quite basic. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. No lights in dark to guide you down the paths to your caravans. Having said that the entertainment hub was better. I enjoy more quieter places and it certainly didnt seem busy. Personally for me if the mattresses were upgraded I would use this as a Base again but probably wouldn't recommend for any others if they want more than peace and quiet and comfort We stayed for 7 nights. The wheelchair accessible caravan was dated and the carpets, sofa and chairs all stained. The food at the Boathouse was not great. The children’s entertainment was with lovely troupers. The child friendly bingo game was good, lots of places don’t do this so my daughter enjoyed doing this. The customer service from other staff was not so good.
