So lucky to have this place of beauty here in Gosport and so close to the sea. So many tracks and paths to follow and lots of parking one of which you have to pay so check out the free ones first, they are on both sides of the park. Very well looked after and generally tidy apart from some sad people who do not give a damn about common decency of taking your rubbish with you, instead just toss it to the ground for the decent people to pick up. Overall a fantastic place to spend an afternoon bird watching, exploring or even use the cycle tracks . Was a very cold day when we went. There was lots of equipment for the they also have a smaller for the younger children. It's a shame the big slides are out of use that was the draw of the for my son. All of the other equipment was open though. Was quite muddy but it's winter and that's expected. There is near by, size car which you have to pay for. There is also a kiosk with a tiny outdoor seating bit. There is also a dog walking bit with lots of nature walks and ponds to see ducks. We spotted this on the way in to Stokes Bay for a short break. After parking up the RV we drove the car back and the had a fun on the slides and climbing equipment. There's a little coffee shop for much needed hot chocolates in the winter months. Parking will set you back around £1 an hour, which considering the quality the equipment, is pretty good. If you're after a fantastic spot to stretch your legs (and maybe your dog's too!), you really can't go wrong with Alver Valley Country Park. Honestly, it's a bit of a hidden gem around here. There are loads and loads of trails winding all over the place, so you can have a proper wander and explore different routes each time you go. It's brilliant for dog walkers – plenty of space for them to have a run around. They've also got a really nice set up for kids, which is always a bonus if you've got little ones in tow. And get this, it's super handy because it's right near a garden centre, so you could easily combine a nice walk with a bit of plant shopping! The only slightly funny thing – and maybe something to bear in mind – is that there aren't any public for humans in the itself. So, just a little heads-up on that front! But honestly, that's a minor thing in the grand scheme of things. For a lovely outdoor space with great walking and a nice vibe, Alver Valley Country is definitely worth checking out. Parking are decent in number though plenty of users had trouble staying in the lines. It wasn't too busy so wasn't a problem, parking charges themselves are a bit pricy at 1.70 and hour. Great for all ages, little ones have a separate playground. Lots of walking and cycling paths with great views. Nice little with a selection of hot and cold drinks and ice creams. Also free 🚻 Every time we come here this is worse. Was so lovely but clearly too exposed and not protected so it's prone to vandalism. You'd think with the cost of the car they would have the funds to sort this out quickly but standard maintenance is slow and now the main draws for the are out of operation. Lovely enclosed playground areas for all ages of children. Small coffee shop with outside seating serving drinks, hot snacks and cakes. Clean close to and areas. Great for dogwalking. Small charge for parking by the hour. We have visited this so many times but still find a different path or route each time. It's a great place for young families, with a duck pond, gravel tracks suitable for prams and bikes and other paths more suited to puddle suits and wellies. The itself is fairly well maintained, gated with a designated toddler too. With Alver Valley garden centre at one entrance and Coffee Cup at the other, you can spend a whole day here with coffee and food options. The only thing that lets it down really is the poor signage. There are a couple of maps around the park, but almost none of them actually show where you are currently, so it's easy to get lost. This is the best by far that our family went to. There are grounds for young ones and adults too. So, all family can enjoy and have fun together. The toilet is explicitly clean. There are plenty of for the car too. Great for a longish dog trek, we parked in the east car and walked for a hoping to see a or ice cream van but turned back a little disappointed. Lots of off lead dog walkers and open spaces. One of my children's favourite places to visit. The playground is big and well equipped for different ages. There are nice paths around, perfect for a little walk or cycle. The on site is good, but csn get very busy at peak times so expect long queues. The were clean last time we visited. Unfortunately some of the equipment suffered from arson on the 21st May. It suffered a significant damaged both of the structures which may be beyond repair.
