Great location just off M5 - we use it for motorhome stopover. Friendly and helpful staff. Food is to the higher end of reasonably priced and is well cooked. Chips are especially good. My dessert, creme brulee, was slightly disappointing as slightly split/curdled. Went for dinner tonight. I wasn't disappointed, excellent meal and were great 👍 Had Chicken New Yorker for main and Toblerone Cheesecake for dessert 😋. The food is decent for pub standards and the are polite with fairly good service. However, the atmosphere was let down by the clientele. When my colleagues and I visited for a teammate’s leaving drinks, some of the older patrons near the payment counter gave my co-worker and me uncomfortable, disdainful looks. It left the impression that the place attracts a crowd with certain far-right leanings, which overshadowed an otherwise alright pub experience. Fabulous, really good food, really lovely staff. Used this place to stop for a break and food on a long trip. Was very convenient and much better than a service station. Food was average bar food and the environment was quite noisy with game/arcade/slot machines going, but the convenience gives it a 4star Really nice out the way pub went for a party food was excellent supplied by the pub place was clean and were great Great little pub with a nice selection of drinks. I recommend the Apple Strudel 😋 Lovely landlord and landlady excellent service lovely atmosphere above and beyond if your close buy drop in it’s definitely worth it in my opinion Bar totally unsociable, buffalo chicken wings were cremated (solid, black and dry), blue cheese sauce tasted rancid.. unhelpful and ignored us, will never return and will tell our friends as we are local. No offer to replace or refund food, drinks weren't even filled up correctly. I was so disgusted I forgot to take photo.
