Charming oyster producing on the Seudre River, full of and eateries and galleries. We visited on a very cold and windy February Sunday afternoon and were surprised to find quite a few other people visiting. It will be hugely busy in the summer but very lovely. This was our second visit. It’s certainly a nice little but not the prettiest in France. It’s very much after the tourist trade and the places to eat were very expensive. If you like bespoke art and a bohemian feel then it’s worth a visit as parking is free Charming historic is a wonderful church and attractive port from where you can take a boat trip. I can image it can get busy but we were there in May and it was fairly quiet. Plenty of interesting shops/artists etc and restaurants. The is pedestrian and you need to park down by the port, it is not a big place some it is easy to walk around. Smashing town littered with artsy and tasty restaurants. There is parking on the way into town, however the barrier was broken when we arrived. Thankfully a friendly local used a fob to buzz us in...so we parked for free: Merci!!! There is an old church that is worth a visit. The harbour is small, but nice to sit with a cold glass of wine on a warm day! Lovely quaint little by the water, many interesting small and great restaurants, you must visit. Lovely fishing village, adorable place to stop, walk around, eat, visit the church. Lovely place lovely community A lovely village, filled with artisan crafts and inviting restaurants and cafes. Spent a few hours wandering towards the river and enjoying a coffee watching the world go by. Beautiful quaint town with artisan and exquisite bars and restaurants. A great place to meander and wile away a few hours.
