We stopped here on the way to Strand, the shop itself is really well stuck with a lot of really produce. We got a coffee a cake which was a banana and chocolate chip cake, and also a crumble which was apple pear and plum. Everything was absolutely fantastic and tasted really good. The coffee here is amazing with the best coffee we’ve had on a seven week holiday there and Scotland. Really good. If you are on the way past this location, I would certainly recommend stopping here. The are amazing also. While we were here, we also purchased some products that were made either here or locally. We got a bug Hotel., wall paint transfer, some apples, and some bread. It’s a wonderful place. Saw this place on the latest series of The Hairy Bikers and that is always a recommendation of eateries to visit. Really nice farm shop and we buy a few goodies. We also ate lunch and after a short wait, a table was found for our large group. It was busy, with a little queue for tables, but kept on top of turning tables around quickly. My husband and I shared the cheese platter, salmon quiche and a side of wedges. One child had a small mushroom soup with a cheese sandwich with the other having the kids macaroni cheese. All food was delicious with portions and I treated myself to a takeaway portion of the cheesecake as too full for dessert but wanted to try it. I was also very happy to spot a Chai Latte on the menu so enjoyed that and it was perfectly spiced. Very pleased we queued for our food! A lovely cafe with friendly and beautiful surroundings - outside seating is dog friendly. A little disappointed by the shop itself - had expected a greater range of goods. Very loathe to write this but I must be honest, we found the cooked to be expensive for what you received, and the sausages were very pale for our taste. That said the plain scones we purchased from the bakery were delightful and the setting is fantastic. When we visit again it will be just coffee and toast or cakes! Visited today for a late lunch and was not disappointed. We both ate well and really enjoyed it. Portion sizes were huge and great value for money. Too full for cake so bought a couple to bring back with us ad staying local for a few days. Also bought a couple of bits from the shop. Hoping we can squeeze in another visit before returning home. Update... we made it back this morning for before heading home. Absolutely fantastic breakfast. Was nice for a member to have recognised us from our previous visit. We will be back to see you again next time we visit the area. On the plus side, the were friendly and polite. The coffee was excellent with a lovely selection of home made cakes. But at £32.50 for two coffees, one full and one veggie was left disappointed at the quality on offer. Did mention this so hopefully they will improve. Visited today for lunch. Had to wait until 11:30 as didn't know they had a time and a lunch time. I had the Hommity (£11.95) pie and my husband Haggis and Goats Cheese Melt (£11.25) Albeit they were both 'very' scrummy they were quite expensive... The and service were great and the shop really if you fancy something different. We will definitely return 👍👍 Me and my partner have been coming to the cafe for a while. I don't usually leave reviews but have noticed over the past year the options on the menu/specials can be pretentious sometimes. As we're older we prefer traditional foods and aren't keen to see strange concoctions of soups and specials which can be very salty and over seasoned. On a positive note the breads and cakes are fantastic.
