Lovely place for a dog walk/ short woodland walk. We did a 2 mile loop round but there's loads of paths. It said dogs on leads but loads were off their leads! Most paths are pretty decent but there's a few more muddy ones. Stream is overflowing a bit at the moment. There's a few benches dotted about but not many! As the NT App says, limited parking space...maybe 30 cars (??). Free. Not much to this apart from the lake, stream...and the cows wandering "free" in the woods! A bit noisy round towards the main road. It's a simple walk, I wasn't expecting much; maybe that's why I was pleasantly surprised! Nice place for a walk, around average for dogs though as they have to be on a lead most of the areas. Lovely walking area , with or without the dogs . Lots of tracks to follow , nice parking area . Very nice woodland walks with pond and wetland habitats. Limited parking. Condition of paths rather variable. Nice quiet in the evening sun, lots of wild life, dragon flies, damsel flies, you name it. Highly recommended if needing some fresh air and a recharge. Short walks, we’ll sign posted trails and easy walking on the paths. Very nice. What a lovely relaxing stroll it was to round the chase yesterday. Small parking area but wasn't many cars there so found a space straight away. There are clear trails marked out throughout and gravel paths in case you don't want to go off the beaten track. There are wild cattle dotted around so dogs must be on the lead. There are rather big too so beware. Theres a beautiful stream where we stopped and had a picnic and the kids went in with their wellies. We stayed for around 1.5hr before heading back. Great place to walk. My son gets so excited when we park, he loves when he gets to see the cows. One of our favourite places to walk. Such a lovely place! Parking is a little limited so bare this in mind but other than that no criticisms! Peaceful and well kept!
