It is a public holiday today (may9) so pretty busy. I waited in line for about 20 min to get in but the wait. It's next to a café, can't do picnic inside this garden, but outside there is lot of green grass patches... This might not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Go during a workday at dinner time. Usually quiet then. at all seasons but not always unfortunately. If you go during the weekends expect waiting time. The around it (Clingendael ) is also and quiet. Luckily bot polluted with people dragging stereos and BBQs. And keep it clean pls! Originally we expected this place to be much bigger HOWEVER it is perfectly and offers flowers to admire and also to have some photos taken on bridges. It does not seem to get too crowded which is surprising as I considered this spot to be very popular. And entrance is free! Both the Japanese and the surrounding area were so pretty! I was here on Sunday morning and it was little but full of visitors. Went at around 530pm-6pm and was not crowded. vibe and surrounded by relaxing park. Hard to get to the place though if you don’t have a car. Took 10mins to explore. Probably good to for photoshoots. Visited today (Monday during the fall holiday) an hour before closing to take some cosplay photos :) Not a lot of people walking around, lucky for us, photo spots were easily accessible. Be aware that it's a public place so don't go blocking off paths for other visitors. Only downside in terms of photoshoots with people/cosplayers is that a lot of pretty posing spots are fenced off to avoid damage.
