Great local through woodland, along side a river. Plenty of paths and, at this time of year, a good spot for blackberry picking Small car and easy access from Bromborough Rake train station Absolute beautiful place propa good nature reserve as you can see, there is a river runs through the reserve natural ponds pampas grasses, plenty of walks grassed areas with benches for picnics parking. Hours spent here love it All types of terrain for all ages and abilities. A hidden gem, fallen trees left alone, nothing manicured and well maintained path, step and boardwalks. If you are passing through this neck of the country, would highly recommend. I often bring the lads walking through here. It's a very nice place to through. The downside is that you never know what's going on in the park, there's always a surprise. Numerous times we've walked down the steps from Vanderbyl Ave only to find it's completely flooded with Dibbensdale Brook overflowing at the bottom of the steps. This also then blocks the path under the railway bridge so you can't get to Bromborough Woods. When we came after strong winds a couple of years ago all the paths were blocked with massive fallen trees that took some time to clear. But I suppose life would be very boring without Mother Nature having her way every now and then Ticked away but worth a visit plenty of garlic flowers there at the moment ,they are lovely with a prawn cocktail A genuine hidden gem. It's also a lot bigger than you think. Just keep an eye on the information boards which include a map. It's easy to spend 2 hours exploring this truly delightful country which far too few people appreciate. Visit, explore and enjoy!! Lovely peaceful place, quite dry at the moment though Stunning everytime 😍 Visited for first time on 17.3.25. Seen lots of Blue tits, Great tits, Robins, Blackbirds, Moorhen, Coot, great spotted woodpeckers and tree creepers. Did not realise how big it is, lovely place and so easy to get too. Great though half the it should of been because the bridge recently collapsed so round twice 👍🏻. Few trees fallen which gives the character. Hopefully they leave them where they fell. Plenty of room in car park. Very small, but gave us a break from driving for 15 minutes Nice walks My little dog can't very far. He loved it. Slow half an hour as I took photos. Very picturesque and earthy. I went around 10am and only saw a handful of people. I'm sure I heard more people than we saw. Always a nice place to around, and is dog friendly! I believe you do need to be watery about keeping your doggos on a leash as it is close quarters in some areas. Great for a dog walk/swim! Nice place for a surrounded by his Very nice place to visit. Picnic areas are there. Peaceful Amazing enchanted forest, dogs and kids friendly😁 Ideal for Sunday family walk❤️ Lovely place for a run with some trails and hills to enjoy, cut my teeth fishing in the lake which unfortunately isn't a patch on what it once was, simply because it requires more care, one of the only council lakes with pike still in it ,shame it's not maintained properly.wirral council should pull it's finger out and provide some funding for some more staff to do this ,it's an asset not a burden to look after the beautiful lakes instead of making more empty bike lanes !!!
