The pub wasn't busy when we visited though it did serve nice beer. The pub wasn't very clean, the floor and bottom of the tables were grubby and the toilets were not clean either plus the hand-dryer wasn't working. Great and friendly place to go for drinks and great food and great atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful give it a try if visiting largs We went here for Sunday roast. We were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious roast beef with all the trimmings. Melt in the mouth beef. Cooked to perfection Great atmosphere. But the services were very weird, if you are not a local citizen just expect to be ignored instead othere scotish people. This just happened to me. We went in at 12pm on Sunday. First time we had been there. Lady behind the bar was lovely made us welcome. Food was really good. Lovely home made mushroom soup. Steak and sausage pie with mash. Hubby says steak was great. We thought prices were very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit. Food is good love to there for a drink when I visited my dearest friend. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent for the basics and you can give 24hrs notice for high tea and specials.not to spacious but adequate for eating We popped in on Sunday for a late afternoon drink. After 10 minutes or so trying to get staff attention we had still not been served even though it was not busy. We both visited the toilet while the other waited at bar but still no service. Bar staff did not even acknowledge us .. no eye contact or hello nothing - just walked passed us twice. That together with poor toilet conditions prompted us to leave without buying a drink. Sad to see Sharps standard dropping so badly - won’t return.
