Comfy beds, excellent kitchen with a hot tap for hot drinks and cooking quickly. The location of the was perfect, literally two minutes walk from the and the gorgeous restaurants. The came with bikes, which meant we could use them whenever we wanted. The site has several restaurants and we bought food from one which was delicious 😋 The was located near many points of interest, including wild goats, beautiful beaches, lots of based restaurants, Second World War tunnels, art galleries, museums, and a nature reserve. Just something for everyone, old or young. Just magical and beautiful in equal measures. Highly recommended! We've stayed in a 7 persons and were very happy with it. The is very spacious and the kitchen is having enough plates, cutlery, etc. It's also fitted with a dishwasher. The also has its private sauna to enjoy as well as an open fire place. The bungalows are on a large enough block to give you enough privacy. One of the things we would recommend management to add is an ashtray. This will limit the number of butts lying around. Another thing is to kill the weeds on the terrace and use a blower to it prior to new guests arriving. A safe to put in a laptop and other valuables is something that we had expected. Adding this would be a high priority for us. The is located close to the beach. We would definitely recommend this park. We camped. The camping spot was sandy and turned muddy when it rained. I'd say during the summer months it would be thrones with families with children as there is so much to offer. We like the tranquility so September is perfect for us. Friendly staff. Great cycling. Beautiful beach. Our vacation home was and had everything there that you may need besides food, cleaning supplies, and things like that of course. We stayed here for a longer period in August. At first impressions this is a great holiday park. Twin security boom gates, the professional reception building with seemingly friendly staff. The chalet we stayed in was nicely appointed, spacious enough for 4 and was clean. Lucky we weren't located too far from the main entrance. I'll come back to that. Overall the is and peaceful. From our chalet it was a 5 to 7 minute walk to the commercial area. With the restaurant, supermarket, trampolines, padel court, indoor swimming pool, bike rental and a few other facilities. Staff were generally friendly. If you could find someone... Especially in the area. A general complaint from others too. The bike rental people were lovely and helpful. I did find that for many of my queries I was referred to the Roompot app. Which I didn't have access to, because the app is in the Dutch app store only. So for something as simple as the opening times of the pool, I had to ask someone who then referred me to the app. Quite frustrating. Most frustrating are two things relating to car access. First, there are two boom gates to secure the park. At times, guests will rock up to the first gate and for whatever reason, can't access. Try backing up your car and caravan combo after a multiple car queue creates. Forget a quick entry on a Friday afternoon. Then even more annoying. There is a weird 11pm to 6am curfew, between which you can't access drive your car beyond the second gate. Which means that you have to try and find a car after the first gate. Which is almost impossible. Instead I opted parking it on the road outside the park. The curfew adds nothing to security, safety or peace in the park. Here's my point. There were many times my young family and I came home after 11pm. Which means my young kids of 6 and 8, who were fast asleep had to be woken up and walk or be carried to the chalet. The full reception car after 11 is testament to this. Not to mention the EV charger hoggers that just their car there each and every for extended periods. When I addressed this, reception said that they can't do anything about it. Mind you they have access to every number plate information in the park. I was fobbed off with the comment that I could charge outside the and that it was cheaper too... I found this the general behaviour from staff. I know dutch are blunt and direct, I am one myself, but a bit of empathy and servicemindedness goes a long way. Another issue was the swimming opening hours. 10am to 5pm just doesn't cut it. Most swimmers enjoy early morning swims or late afternoon playtime for the kids. All hotels we stayed at on our trip, and there some 3-star properties, had opening times between 6am and 10pm. Which is the norm. All in all this Roompot has great potential. Fix your attitude, remove the stupid gate access curfew, man the first boom gate intercom to let guests in and extend your pool access hours and we may come back to spend another €3500. Great location 10 min walk to the beach. People at the service desk were amazing! Showers/toilets a bit outdated Large well maintained holiday with ample facilities and wide choice. From glamping to luxury bungalows. After 1 week stay: Large detached 6 bed luxury on large plot. Reasonably furnished and maintained. Comfortable beds. On site parking somewhat cramped. Adequate housekeeping services. Comfort wellness cottage, Very fun cottage. We have one with a sauna. Very good sauna to enjoy. We paid the highest fee for towels and sheets/ and bedding option. But still only received one set of hand/dish towels, would have liked at least 2 sets or really the 4 sets I paid for. Our bathroom is a split situation because of the sauna. So 2 bathrooms, and only 2 hand/tea towels that are supposed to be for the kitchen. And no hand soaps in the bathrooms. Also we had some dirty dishes, and a broken handle on the main pan we use to make our food, I guess we will contact the service desk and get a replacement as we are still staying here. The place we stay is very good and fun, I don’t mean to come across negative. I give it a 4 out of 5 star! Also a I could not download the app in Canada where I reside. I think the could get more international bookings if they made it available on a wider platform. Everything automated, poor reception times, access through side gate only from 10-20h daily. Depending on location plan for a 20min walk to main entrance. Bakery opens at 8:30 with long cues, plan a 30min wait for breakfast rolls. Houses very basic, no carpet, no hairdryer, just plain basics. Caution: we forgot to take the sheets off (booked premium service with sheets on bed upon arrival) and were charged €32,50 only for that. This alone is worth one star. The missing detail to anything to make you feel at home and not at a penitentiary is the second reason. Sad, because location & is nice. Next time elsewhere. Wir waren als Paar Anfang April für eine Woche auf dem Campingplatz. Positiv: W-Lan gut, Sanitärgebäude (mehrere) liegen zentral zu den Stellplätzen, Schwimmbad (nicht genutzt), Animation auch in der Nebensaison (nicht genutzt), profesionelles und schnelles Anmelden möglich, Personal nett, Imbiss bis 20.00 Uhr geöffnet (gut, Preise dort relativ normal), genutzt. Die Nähe zum Meer ist gut und Fahrradwege en masse vorhanden. Negativ: kein Halteplatz für Ankommende ohne Reservierung (ist vielleicht für vorher gebuchte Plätze/Chalets anders?), Sauberkeit der Sanitärs (vor allen Dingen durch Camper wohl verursacht) mäßig. Es wird angeregt, dass die Gebäude zwischendurch noch einmal überprüft werden sollten. Zumal die Stellplätze sandig sind und ein Teppich am Eingang allen Dreck auffangen kann. Auch schienen die Abflüsse in den Duschen verstopft. Die WC's und auch die Duschkabinen sind eng und klein sowie alle ausgeleuchtet, nur die Kabinen mit Oberlicht. Prospekte mit Ausflugsmöglichkeiten gab es unseres Erachtens nur auf Niederländisch. Auch die Speisekarte im war nur auf Niederländisch und Englich. Da sich dort auch viele deutsche Camper aufhalten (oder ein Chalet mieten) wäre eine Änderung wünschenswert. Zum Schluss ist noch anzuführen, dass irgendwo in Hörweite der Anlage eine Rennstrecke (gerne auch nachts oder in den frühen Morgenstunden und nur am Wochenende) für Raser (Auto und Motorrad) zu liegen scheint. Das kann der Betreiber jedoch abstellen. We hesitated a lot to go there because of the opinions, but in the end the fact that is so close to the sea and the city encouraged us to book. Good decision! The place is good. About the lot of opinions about bad bathrooms, we had different experiences, we used three of the shared facilities, the closer to us was very good and and every shower was isolated, in the second the water from the next shower entered but it was clean, the third was not so clean, but maybe was because of the hour. Our only complain about showers is that the water temperature cannot be selected, it is fixed, and showering in summer with cold water would be nice. The rest went perfect, restaurant, good supermarket, service personal, bike rental went good, a lot of close places to wash the dishes, good beach!! Recommended. Location and size of the houses are good, cleanliness okay. However, a lot of utensils missing in the kitchen and a lot of things were broken in our (chairs, lights etc). There was no patio furniture at all (while it said there would be in the pictures/description). Customer service wasn’t what we had hoped…. could use some improvement! Stayed for one cycle touring. This place is more of a holiday than campsite, that doesn't really cater well cycle tourists. It is very expensive - more than double anywhere else we have stayed in the Netherlands (€47/night - everywhere else we stayed was €15-€24/night). The pitch we were allocated was a motorhome pitch. The ground was rough and would have damaged our tent, so we wandered around the site and found a grassy area and pitched our tent there instead. The toilet and shower facilities were adequate, although one of the blocks had a strong smell of cigarette smoke (the other was okay). This site would be fine for cycle tourists if a dedicated tent area were offered, and if the price were adjusted accordingly. Bij aankomst een vreselijk vies huisje, spinnenwebben overal, servies plakte vast in de kasten, onder het bed lagen gebruikte zakdoekjes, de was van de vorig huurder lag nog voor de deur en de afzuigkap zat onder het vet. Het personeel was alles behalve vriendelijk en ze lieten het lijken alsof ze niet wouden helpen, dit gold voor zowel de supermarkt als het restaurant. De wijk rondom het is een slecht wijk, het strand is mooi maar daar houdt het ook op. Na ons weekend direct contact opgenomen met Roompot maar verder dan een excuses komt het niet. Mijn advies, nooit boeken bij Roompot! Wir waren Anfang Oktober für 5 Tage auf dem Campingplatz. Die Dame an der Rezeption war freundlich und wir durften uns einen von knapp 10 Rest-Platz aussuchen und haben uns für die 105 entschieden. Die Plätze sind im Wald gelegen zwischen vielen Bäumen, aber mit reichlich Platz und eigenem Strom-, Wasser-, Abwasser-Anschluß. Es sind reichlich Sanitareinrichtungen vorhanden, die während unseres Aufenthalts immer sauber waren. Die Damen-WC's im Sanitär in Platznähe sind etwas eng, aber im anderen Sanitärhaus (Nähe 600ter Plätze) waren sie etwas größer. Es sind ausreichend Duschen und WC's sowie 2 Einzelwaschkabinen vorhanden und 2 Delfin-Badewannen für die Kleinen. Zwischendurch gibt es kleine Häuschen auf den Plätzen um das Geschirr abzuwaschen. Wir hatten mit dem Wetter Glück, bei Regen könnte es aufgrund des sandigen Bodens allerdings dreckig werden. Wir haben uns die 600ter Plätze auch angeschaut, hier sind eher weniger Bäume und im Sommer sicher heiß. Wir persönlich fanden unseren Platz zentral gelegen und waren zufrieden. Der Campingplatz ist schon groß, aber mit dem Fahrrad kommt man in ein paar Minuten zum Strand oder kann wunderbar durch die Dünen auf den toll ausgebauten Fahrradwegen nach Scheveningen etc. fahren. Der Strand ist schön und groß und an der Strandbar kann man schön sitzen und den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Für Kinder ist es ein toller Platz mit Minigolf, Tischtennis, Tennis, Ranger-Cars, Trampoline, Hallenbad und Animationen. Das fanden wir auch schön mit absolut freundlichem und aufmerksamen Personal Der liebe Kellner hat unserem Hund sofort einen Wassernapf gebracht und gefragt, ob sie ein Leckerli dürfte - mega. Das Essen (wir hatten Saté) war lecker und preismaßig okay. Der Supermarkt hat alles was der Camper benötigt, natürlich etwas teurer, aber noch okay. Alles in allem hat es uns gut gefällt und wir würden nochmal wiederkommen. Leider waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienpark unzufrieden. Bereits bei der Ankunft war der Boden im Ferienhaus sauber – kein schöner Start in den Urlaub. In der Küche fehlte es an grundlegender Ausstattung: kein Schneidebrett, kein normales Messer, kein Toaster, kein Bügeleisen, keine Wassergläser (nur Espressolöffel!), und für eine große Familie war der Kühlschrank viel zu klein. Die Treppe im Haus war extrem steil und eng – mit Kindern oder älteren Personen eine echte Herausforderung. Zudem kommt, dass so gut wie alles extra kostet, und selbst Minigolf schlägt mit 7,50 € pro Person zu Buche – absolut überteuert. Das einzig Positive: der Strand ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Aber das allein reicht leider nicht, um den Gesamteindruck zu retten. Inchecken gemakkelijk en contactloos. Nadeel, je bent een nummertje. Bij binnenkomst in de veel stof geconstateerd, vieze ramen, badkamer niet schoongemaakt. Kapotte douche, dit gemeld bij servicepoint, er zou naar gekeken worden, helaas is er niks gemaakt. Batterijtje afstandsbediening verlichting woonkamer ontbrak. Dus geen licht. Zou verholpen worden. Er is iemand geweest maar niks verholpen. Nog steeds geen licht. Geen terugkoppeling of excuses ontvangen! Klep koffiezetapparaat wilde niet dicht. Rooster onder de oven bleek een onafgewerkt gat. Wil je lekker weg met de auto, staat er een vrachtwagen uit te laden achter je auto. Je kunt er niet weg, en andere gasten kunnen er niet met de auto langs. En dit was niet even een kwestie van 5min, er werd een gehele vrachtwagen uitgeladen. Zwembad beperkte openingstijden. Parkeerplaatsen overvol, vaak lange afstand naar je lopen. Pluspuntje was de locatie van de bungalow. Top uitzicht. Maarja, die hebben we dan ook tegen extra betaling zelf uitgekozen. Dik geld betaald voor uiterlijke schijn. Lijkt allemaal heel mooi. Maar als het functionele niet functioneert, wat heb je er dan aan? Niet de meest recente verblijven. Fantastisch vriendelijk personeel in het restaurant. Mooie winkel. Stayed here for 2 nights in our motorhome. Great location for the beach, but wouldn't stay again. Not the best park, looks scruffy, very impersonal, barely saw any staff or security, kept our bikes locked up based on other reviews. Campsite is cramped, pitches small. Booked a comfort pitch with water but this is shared between 2 pitches, guy next to us had hooked up his caravan to the tap, although he did say to let him know when we needed water, very cheeky considering we'd payed for it. Techno music playing all evening from fellow camper. Both women's shower blocks closed for cleaning at 8am, had to queue to use men's. Automatic lighting meant showering in the dark. Play is small, have to pay for trampolines. Could only find one play on site. closed one for private function. Our child did like the football court but that's about it. Evening entertainment consisted of a screen with a video playing We rented a chalet for 6 persons (comfort 6a) and as we arrived the chalet was a mess everything dirty from kitchenware, bathroom, windows basically so dirty, we thought about leaving the place on the spot. At the next day the reception send a cleaning team that made it much better, but for this price a expert a place right from the beginning. So we wasted some of our precious time and got vouchers for apple turnovers as a compensation. So be aware - camping seems nice, the chalets are a mess - we talked to other owners, all reported the same. Heerlijke locatie, dichtbij Den Haag, vlak aan het strand en de duinen. Heel vriendelijk personeel, in de supermarkt, fietsverhuur en restaurant. Zwembad en huisjes zijn basic, maar wel in orde. Leuke speeltuinen, minigolf, trampoline, padel. Meer dan genoeg voor een weekje vakantie. Campsite is nice, most camping-car spots are under trees and in shade, however the restrooms, showers and washing up area are immensely nasty, dirty and unhygienic and undersized for the amount of campers. We'll probably leave earlier than booked. Not recommended if you like it quiet. Locals come to the here and on sunny summer days, its very crowded, touristic and just unpleasant. Arrived into a grotty caravan , smelt of damp dog and cigarettes , heating in main lounge and one bedroom only ! E mail to complain unanswered. Decided to put smelly rugs outside but didn’t reduce stench from inbuilt sofas and duvets ! 2nd electric fused outside caravan very cold and no light for 40 minutes , emergency number unobtainable and had to find number online . 3rd heating off for 30 minutes , finally moved to and available caravan . Asked for €6.00 for cost of hiring cart to move but they refused . Overall a miserable experience with exceptionally poor customer service ! Only time emergency contact was helpful ! Location, But Very Poor Customer Service Our stay at Roompot Vakantiepark Kijkduin was unfortunately marked by frustration and disappointing customer service. Due to a booking error by Belvilla, we were only informed at 16:00 on our arrival day that we needed to present proof of payment in person before 18:00, when reception closed. We asked if someone could stay just 10–15 minutes later, as my family was stuck in traffic. The request was flatly denied. With no flexibility or support, we were left without accommodation for the night. Throughout our stay, communication from staff was unreliable and often incorrect. We received conflicting information about check-in times, which facilities were open, and even simple things like bike rental prices. At one point, we were told the was closed and the supermarket was open — it turned out to be the other way around. Small issues were handled just as poorly. Our had only four forks for five people. When I called reception to request one more, I was asked, “Do you need it tonight?” — a ridiculous question during a two-night stay. The itself was and nicely located near the beach. But be prepared: nearly everything costs extra. Towels, bed linen, kitchen cloths — even additional toilet paper — are not included. Just renting sheets and towels can cost over €24 per person. And it didn’t end there. After checking out, we noticed we hadn’t received our €300 deposit back. A week later, I called — only to find out they didn’t have my bank details. This was puzzling, since I had paid the deposit by card at reception. Worse, they never contacted me to resolve the issue. Had I not called, I doubt we would have seen that money again. The has potential thanks to its location and decent facilities, but the customer service is severely lacking — both in competence and care. Until that’s addressed, I cannot recommend staying here.
