This was once a flourishing ancient city on the busy Roman road called Postumia, now the site is cut in two by the railway. You can see the history in every brick you find there.. very quite place in the winter, watch for the opening hours! open only on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Sito archeologico molto interessante. Le guide molto preparate, disponibili e gentili. Da visitare! We happened by this almost unmarked site and spent an hour walking around the Roman ruins. It is so quiet and peaceful. We got an excellent explanation of the site and its history from one of the staff. We recommend it! We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Libarna Archeological Site, and it was a truly spectacular experience. The visit was made even more memorable by our amazing guide, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also very friendly and engaging. One of the highlights of the visit was the tranquility of the site. There were no tourists or other people around, which allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the history and beauty of the area. We were given the unique opportunity to enter the site and walk through designated areas around the main features, including the impressive amphitheater and theatre. Additionally, we explored two of the forty city blocks of ancient Libarna, which provided a fascinating glimpse into the past. Overall, the Libarna Archeological Site is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful and enriching experience. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in history and archeology. Guida disponibile, anche coi bambini, e competente. Il sito è ben tenuto e curato, ben segnalato e facilmente accessibile. Non ho notato barriere architettoniche. Sono disponibili due bagni chimici, uno accessibile. Visita guidata gratuita. Alcuni cartelli informativi andrebbero rifatti. Very interesting to look and walk around the archeological finds. Special thanks to the very knowledgeable and kind guide, Stefano!
